#i have said it before but the main thing that bothers me is being seen always and only as a woman.

hiiiiâŚany chance you could write a gn!reader x wise fic where they are both pinning over each other? Take your time and donât rush, make sure to drink plenty of water! Thank you đ
Thank you for the reminder! I honestly only drink coffee when I write lmao. But I hope you enjoy this fic! I had some fun writing this, even if the idea mightâve gotten away from me eheâŚ
Note: Some small implication of mc!Belle
Warnings: none
âSeriously, when are you gonna just talk to them bro?â Belle asked out loud, not bothering to keep her voice down after watching the person, who Wise was obviously crushing on for months at this point, leave the siblingsâ store.
âI have no idea what youâre talking about.â He responded, giving her a look before turning back to restocking the shelves.
âOh please!â The bluenette almost screams, scaring the bangboo at the counter. âDonât think you can fool me with your âoh I have to check the back real quickâ trick! You do it every time theyâre here!â
âYouâre talking nonsense.â He sighed, pointedly keeping his focus on his âtaskâ.
âItâs not! Fairy, back me up!â
[Master is correct, I have noticed the pattern as well.] The AIâs voice resounds from the back. [I have also noticed the other behavioral pattern of Wise staring at the object of his affections when you both go outside and run across them.]
âWhat? I do not stare.â The male quickly turned his head to glare towards the backroom, though he knew the AI barely cared nor acknowledged him. Taking in another sigh, he just returned to placing the tapes in the box onto the empty shelves. âI donât understand why youâre so hung up on this.â
âBecause I want to see my brother happy?â Belle said, like it was the most obvious thing. She only got a head shake from the elder sibling, which made her huff in annoyance.
â
A few days later the bluenette had decided it was time to come up with a plan, one that they even secretly went over the probability of it working with Fairy. Even though said AI had told her it wasnât going to work, Belle decided to go forth with her weeks-long plan anyway. Said plan being to become friends with the âdreamy customerâ as she liked to tease her brother about since sheâs caught him daydreaming many times.
âHey!â She greeted as the person entered the store, receiving a smile back. âPerfect timing! I already got the movie set up in my room so just head up there while Iâm getting snacks.â
âAlright, thanks for inviting me.â They responded, though as they headed towards the stairs they looked back unsure. âI could help you know.â
âNah, I got it!â
âOkayâŚâ They quickly climbed up to the second floor, looking over at the two doors that greeted them. Luckily they had already been invited into her room multiple times before ever since the bluenette decided to open up a friendship with them. They were a bit shocked at first, but as the bluenette was insistent on hanging out with them, they slowly warmed up to the bubbly girl.Â
And while it wasnât their main reason, it was a nice bonus that the friendship caused them to run into her elder brother. Who they had formed a small crush on ever since they first came across the store. Though the good movies they had was their main reason for returning, having the opportunity to talk with him did not help with their crush festering. At least before they began to see less and less of him whenever they visited.
As they entered the girl's room, they gave the decor a once over. There wasn't any difference really, just some extra little trinkets they swear they haven't seen the last time they were here. But they didn't think about it too much before settling down on the couch, getting as comfortable as they could. They patiently waited for Belle to appear, occasionally looking over their socials. But soon a voice spoke up.
âI got all the snacks Belle, don't know why you asked me to head out to-â Wise began to speak, before freezing once he met eyes with them. In his arms were various bags of junk food snacks and bottles of different drinks. They froze as well, not expecting the male to enter the room.
The two stared at each other for a few moments before they heard Belle yell out from down below. âOh sorry! I forgot I had something with Nicole! Watch it without me!â
Before either could say or do anything, they heard a door slam shut. The two of them just stayed there staring at each other, not knowing what to do. After a few moments, the person decided to stand up from the couch.
âI-I can leave.â They quickly said, snapping the male out of his stupor. He only sighed, grumbling within his own head as he began to realize what his sister had just done.
âNo, it's fine. Would be rude of me to kick you out now.â He replied, stepping over towards the coffee table to get the food and beverages out of his arms. He could see them hesitate a tad, giving them a reassuring smile. âWe'll both just have to reprimand her for triple booking.â
They chuckled in response, relaxing a bit as they sat back down on the couch. Though this time they kept to themselves to the side so as to create enough space. âYeah. Oh, do you know what movie she picked? She never told me.â
âIt's supposed to be this new indie documentary movie that we just bought.â He explained, trying his best to remember what he read from the blurb. âWe usually watch the new stock before putting them on the shelf.â
âI see.â
The two stayed quiet for a bit, an awkward silence permeating through the air. Neither had any clue on how to truly talk to the other since they rarely had any opportunity to talk (thanks to Wise running away any chance he got, which heâs now regretting). Soon the male decided to start the movie.
As the film played the two watched on with very little commentary, not wanting to create another awkward silence. But occasionally Wise could hear the other mutter a small joke under their breath, causing him to smile a bit. Soon he began to respond with his own quips or opinions on the movie protagonistsâ actions and attitudes, leading the two to become more casual with each other. But soon even that died down as the both could feel the tension start to rise within the film, making the two of them on edge as the protagonists argued over their situation.
âY-You sure this is supposed to be a documentary?â They asked, their hands clutching onto their clothes a bit as the film began to show signs of something brewing behind the scenes. As more and more arguments began to sprung up within the filmâs group, their nerves began to rise. In some form of unconscious comfort, they shuffled a bit closer to Wise in hope of their nerves easing. They donât notice his own tenseness, nor the flinch he does once he realizes how much closer they were now.Â
âTh-Thatâs what I remembered.â He stuttered, racking his brain over any other explanation for what kind of movie he was watching. It was obvious he was watching some kind of suspense, but everything he remembered in the blurb. But a sudden hand grabbing made him jump in fright, causing him to look over to see the otherâs scared expression.
âS-Sorry! I-I just...â They explained, their words slurring with how fast they were talking. Their hands shook as they tried to will their grip to loosen from the maleâs jacket.
Wise took in a breath, calming his nerves before giving a small smile. âItâs okay.â
The two stayed silent for a moment, the lack of noise only heightened by the movieâs lack of sound as well. Before a sudden scream resounded from the film, scaring both young adults into moving closer and wrapping their arms around each other. They could feel the other shake, trying their best to silently comfort the other.
âW-We should change the movie...â
âY-YeahâŚâ
â
âGuys, Iâm back!â Belle called out, expecting to hear the two to start cussing her out for her stunt of leaving them alone to watch a horror movie. But she only raised an eyebrow at the lack of response, slowly walking towards her room to see what the two were doing. âThatâs weird.â
As she quietly opened her bedroom door, she gasped as she saw the sight before her. There right in front of her was her brother practically cuddling his crush as the two huddled together while they watched what looked to be a more family friendly documentary movie. It was loudly playing, quickly explaining why they didnât hear her. She smirked, seeing that her plan had seemed to work mostly. Quickly taking out her phone to take a picture, though she forgot to account for the shutter sound effect as it spooked the two.
âBelle!â Wise almost screamed, clearing his throat so as to not look even more scared. Though it was clear to everyone it wasnât working. Instead he just settled to give his classic upset big brother look. âDonât do that.â
âWhat? Iâm not doing anything~â She responded cheekily, only earning a harder look in response. âBesides you two seem to be having fun.â
âWell if it werenât for you leaving us with a horror film.â She heard her friend reply, also giving her a hard stare. Though it wasnât as serious as Wiseâs.
âIt was a horror film? Oops!â She chuckled nervously, as it was obvious no one believed her words. But as she placed herself onto the couch right next to the two she knew there weren't any hard feelings. âBut we can still continue the marathon if you want.â
âI think Iâm good for now, I should get home.â They said, slowly getting up. They werenât able to catch the small frown that formed on the maleâs face, but Belle was. They gave the siblings a small smile, grabbing a bag of candy. âBut Iâm taking these as revenge for that stunt.â
âWhat?! Hey, those are my favorites!â They didnât bother to respond to the womanâs words as they casually walked out of the room.Â
Though just as they reached the front door, a ping from their phone alerted them to a text. Checking it, they could see it was a text from the same womanâs room they just left. It was an image, the exact picture she took of them and Wise. They flushed as they began to realize just how it looked like they were cuddling, though they wanted to deny it since they were only trying to comfort the other from each otherâs paranoia. But they couldnât lie how cute it looked, scolding themselves in the head as they saved the picture.
Meanwhile Belle only smirked as the light scolding from Wise went in one ear and out the other. She could see that her friend had seen her message, but didnât reply. Just as she was about to open her mouth, the voice of Fairy could be heard.
[Master, while I still believe the theory isnât as plausible as you suggestedâŚ] The AI spoke, a small whirring hummed from below the siblingâs room. [By my calculations, the suspension bridge theory does seem to have some small merit.]
âNo no no! You are not getting a part in this!â Wise huffed, crossing his arms in frustration.
[But it is very clear that even after you both changed the movie genre, your heartbeats were still high.] Fairy countered. [The same average that is typically seen when individuals are near their subject of affection.]
âYou want me to send the picture to you?â She asked quickly, interrupting the male from his oncoming denial. She could see the gears turning in his head, resulting in him only sighing and turning away with an obvious blush on his face. âIâll take that as a yes.â
âShut up.â

thinking about. womanhood again
#been thinking about how much of the way i have let some kind of womanhood in as a fragment of my identity is infleunced by me thinking that#'well people are going to gender me as a woman anyway so might as well accept it'#and i think that's a part of it (not a thought i overall enjoy. feels somehow defeatist or like i'm giving in or whatever.)#(which i dont think it is but it's a kneejerk reaction)#i do also think that the way i have been actively trying to unpack some of my internalized misogyny has a part in it#i'm not proud to say that i did grow up as a girl who thought womanhood (as it was presented to me at the time)#sounds stupid and way too much effort and unrelatable#but now that my view of the different ways to experience and relate to womanhood have broadened#i can say that i do feel some connection to it. even if i dont usually really claim it as wholly mine#and that acceptance has made it easier to be perceived as a woman in my day to day life#i'm not saying it never stings but. isk it's a bit different#i have said it before but the main thing that bothers me is being seen always and only as a woman.#like i can be a little bit of a woman and Kind Of Like a woman or a close approximate of a woman#but if Woman is all people see my gender as that stingsss#just like being seen solely as a man stings too#(this doesnt happen often so usually it feels more like a fun gender sprinkled in.#or like. it affirms my gender by telling me that i can confuse people)#like. i'm not really a woman i'm not really a man but those are the two options currently recognized by most of society#so a mix of both feels like the best case scenario for me personally genderwise#because gender neutral terms dont always just. hit the same for me as mixing gendered ones does. this varies greatly though#but also i would like to. hm. how to say this. not make that into a rule for myself? i dont want to overthink it#(<- says a guy who has never not overthought anything)#like i have been finding a lot of joy in dressing a bit more masculine in the last year which is wonderful#but sometimes i find myself stressing that if i look 'too masc' people are going to misread my identity more often#because i have a masc leaning chosen name and all#but i try to remind myself that. bitch people are going to misread and misunderstand your gender no matter what you do. relax#but idk. anyway abolish gender so i can start stressing over something else#nowe talks#gender

So, I experienced some deju vu during this scene in Trolls Band Together:
John Dory grabs his backpack, says he's leaving (I'm done, YOLO, etc.), and then the last thing he says is "Goodbye Forever!", followed by Branch's distraught face, and the next thing Branch knows, all his brothers have left him and he never sees them again.
I was trying to figure out why that little snippet stuck with me, then it hit me:
Trolls Holiday in Harmony, when Branch is trying to figure out a gift for Poppy. He's worried about doing the wrong thing, disappointing her or freaking her out, and says "I CAN'T let that happen". He illustrates his point with Poppy packing a suitcase, and what does she say right before she runs off?
Really brings his abandonment issues into the lightđ˘
I've seen a few comments of people being annoyed when Branch said to Poppy "aren't you going to leave me anyway", but they clearly don't understand how trauma affects people's mental and emotional state.
He knows Poppy loves him and doesn't actually believe she'd leave, but after a lifetime of being alone, even though he's happy and loved now, there's still that subconscious fear that he'll end up alone again. Poppy means everything to him, and he can't bear the thought of losing her too, especially as a result of something he's done (his grandma died to save him, and he believed his brothers leaving was his fault because he 'ruined everything' at the concert).
Sometimes this results in Branch trying to push Poppy away, which seems conflicting, yes, but again: trauma messes with your mind. He was already heartbroken and angry at his brothers, so he wasn't thinking clearly and blurted out his hidden main fear.
And when he says "everyone else [leaves me]" I hear "everyone in my life has left me so I must deserve to be alone, so you might as well leave me too."
And that's probably why Branch was so hesitant to be open with Poppy - 1. I might scare her away, and 2. why bother expressing my feelings to someone when I'll likely just lose them anyway. Plus he's still getting used to having someone to confide to in his life. Keeping emotions bottled up for years is a hard habit to get out of.

â â â â â â â â đ˘ CAUGHT IN BETWEEN kim chaewon & huh yunjin
prev. masterlist . next
â
Í â´° NEW MAGIC WAND kim chaewon x reader
âdonât call me selfish I ainât sharing.â - tyler the creator
there was a lot of things yunjin was feeling after the words chaewon said to her in the car, they just kept playing in her head.
âare really stupid enough to think that you and yn have something? Iâm embarrassed for you.â
âdo you really wanna play this game right now?â
âyou may like yn, but your like for her will never amount to mine, youâve had your fun but itâs time to back off.â
sheâs never seen chaewon so serious before, she understands liking yn, she likes yn a lot, but the way chaewon was looking at her seems like this whole thing was beyond just like.
the first time chaewon ever laid her eyes on yn was them being filmed on tv to go against each other to be in a girl group.
she was hypnotized.
yn was gorgeous.
and chaewon will probably fight you if you say it out loud, but thatâs the main reason why she got votes, she was like a real life barbie.
that didnât mean she wasnât talented, yn was insanely talented, but there was just something about her look that drew people in.
and she definitely had drawn chaewon in.
chaewon doesnât remember a time where didnât like yn. all she remembers is standing next to the girl with a bright smile on her face now being in a group called iz*one.
if you were to ask chaewon what was the best moment in her like, she would definitely say that one.
iz*one was magical for her.
yn kept her calm and balanced, if yn was around that meant everything was gonna be okay in chaewonâs eyes.
yn and her were inseparable, at the airport they were together, in group lives they were at right beside each other, at award shows with their arms linked, solo lives together with just them.
the fans loved it, chaewon loved it.
most idols donât like being shipped with their members but chaewon loved how much yn and her were shipped together and yn didnât seem to have a problem with it either.
when chaewon asked her if it bothered her one night in their shared dorm room, yn replied âwhy would I? itâs you chaewon.â
and boy did that make chaewon fall even harder, it was her.
anybody with two eyes could see that chaewon was clearly smitten with yn, the way her eyes would soften every time it was ynâs turn to talk or the way she would push herself in between to be beside yn if she was beside another member, she was kind of possessive.
which is why the girls in iz*one always let yn and chaewon be yn and chaewon, they never got in the way and everything was good.
which is why iz*one disbanding was the worst moment of chaewonâs life.
all she remembers is her wrapping her arms around yn while the girl hugged her tight bawling her eyes out, everything was changing, what if yn didnât want to be an idol anymore like minju? what if they go their separate ways and they only saw each other on certain days of the year?
she couldnât let that happen.
she wouldnât let that happen.
and it almost did.
âI donât knowâŚâ yn trailed off looking at a pleading chaewon who looked like she was about to burst out into tears.
âI have a lot of modeling agencies calling me and I was thinking-â
âNO.â
ynâs eyes opened wide at chaewonâs outburst, âchae-â
âjust think of it yn, us on stage again and with sakura unnie it will be so much fun, your fans are hoping that youâll return to the stage, they love you.â chaewon says grabbing both of ynâs hands, âI really want to be in a group with you again, I canât imagine being in one without you.â
âalrightâŚonly because I love you.â
chaewonâs heart swelled at that, she was so excited, sheâd be back on stage with yn again and everything will be back to how it was.
oh how she was so wrong.
she clenched her jaw watching yunjin chat it up with yn who was just happy to see a fellow person from produce.
âyouâre so pretty.â yunjin said smiling brightly at yn, who returned the smile, âIâm gonna start calling you pretty girl.â
âIâve never been called that before.â yn replie her eyes softening at the compliment.
âwell now you have, pretty girl.â
chaewon couldâve screamed right then and there, yunjinâs flirting was unbearable, who did she think she was?
and what bothered her evern more was the fact that yunjin wasnât gonna back down she could feel it.
but if thereâs one thing she knew.
she wouldnât lose.
not to someone who doesnât understand yn the way she does, not to someone who doesnât need yn like the way she does.
chaewon knocked gently against ynâs bed room door, she felt relaxed after the things she said to yunjin, she tried her best to stay calm, but she just couldnât, not when it seemed like the girl couldnât get it through her thick skull that whatever her and yn have going on doesnât exist.
âcome in!â
chaewon walked into the room, her eyes scanning the room, smiling at the amount of pictures that was just her and yn on ynâs wall.
âheyâŚâ chaewon trailed off walking over to ynâs bed where the girl was laying down, âyou looked beautiful today.â
âthank you chae,â yn replied with a big smile before opening her arms causing chaewon to immediately jump into them.
they both laid on the bed in comfortable silence, chaewon stuffed her face in ynâs neck smiling, âIâve missed you.â she said quietly.
âhuh? but Iâm always here.â
âyeah, but it doesnât feel like it sometimes, itâs probably because weâre all so busy but I miss sharing a room with you and it just being us while everything else just existed.â
âit can still be like that,â yn replied back softly, âI havenât gone anywhere, you can come to my room whenever you want.â
chaewon felt herself melt when yn wrapped her arms tighter around her, she loved how natural it felt, this was exactly how it should be, just like how it was in iz*one.
âwanna go shopping with me tomorrow?â yn asked, chaewon could tell there was a giddy smile on her face.
âof course, can I sleep in here tonight?â
âof course.â
âhey yn- wanna-?â
yunjin pauses mid sentence at the sight in front of her, her breath hitching when she sees chaewon lift her head from ynâs neck to look at whoâs at the door.
âyeah?â yn asked.
yunjin stares at chaewon who looks back at her with intensity, it was like she was saying I told you with her eyes.
âuh never mind, Iâm actually gonna just ask sakura unnie.â
âokay, close the door I donât want the light messing with my pink leds.â
âalright .â yunjin said about to close the door before looking back at chaewon who had a faux smile on her face.
ânight yunjin.â

I come here late to give my opinion on what Nicole Maines said in her book about the Supercorp fandom (go to Twitter for more info, but she basically gave her point of view of things as a queer actor on the show having expected things from the queer fans, confirmed we were being queerbaited while also blaming us for some actors getting fired). I appreciate her side of things and feel for her. But reading that I felt that A LOT was overlooked, especially the context of it all. So sit back if you care enough to read this and come with me as I go on a rant and we go down memory lane to give some context into what it was like to watch Supergirl live as a Supercorp fan.
The first season of Supergirl had its fair share of ships. People liked Kara/Cat, Kara/James, Kara/Win maybe anyone? I don't remember that one but I'm sure there were people out there who liked them. Some people even liked Alex/Kara (a conversation for another time). Kara/Cat shippers could also like Kara/James, because both ships had some strong foundations in the narrative, they were undeniably good ships, regardless of how you feel about age-difference relationships or straight relationships lol. There wasn't mostly an issue, except with the ones that liked Kara/Alex.
In between the first and second season of Supergirl it was announced that a main character would be gay. They didn't say who, though. Speculation began, of course. They did say that Maggie Sawyer was coming to the show but it was not confirmed that she was going to be a lesbian and even less whose love interest.Â
Then the second season premiered. And in the very first episode Kara Danvers meets Lena Luthor. Their scenes together were filled with sexual tension from the very beginning, look at their meeting scene without context and a bit of an open mind and most people will see their chemistry and think that maybe Kara was meeting her soulmate. And the first scene of Supergirl meeting Lena Luthor? It was already drawing a parallel between them and Lois/Clark, one of most iconic, recognizable and undeniable canon ships of all time. Drawing parallels between these two ships was the creators of the show's favorite pastime and it started from day one, before the ship had any fans because we hadn't met Lena just yet.
But in that episode we did meet her. And we fell in love fast. Because their interactions and the interest concept of Lena's character were good. Could it really be that Kara was the main gay character? Could it really be that they were going to give us an epic love story with Supergirl and a family member of her family's historically known enemy? Could they dare to make the famous superhero anything other than straight?
It wasn't just a delusion on our part at that time. It was a real possibility based on real facts. Kara had suddenly dropped the guy she spent the entire previous season chasing after. She got him and dumped him for no good reason (the writers didn't bother to give it a good excuse) and in the same episode she meets this woman, at the start of the season we were going to discover a main gay character.
These are all facts.
A few episodes later Maggie Sawyer makes her debut and it's clear that she's Alex's love interest from the first moment. Cool. It's not Kara but at least it's Alex (because, at the time, we know, WE KNOW, that they don't have two lesbian/queer women characters in the same show unless they're dating each other. How could we think that gay people will surround themselves with other gay people? silly us), that was the reaction: We still LOVED that it was Alex, because it still made sense. And it was difficult to find Sanvers fanfic without it having Supercorp in it because we were all the same people, of course most of us liked both ships.Â
Now, I obviously don't know her, but I seriously don't think that Chyler can say she felt overlooked by the fans that season. Alex's coming out scenes were some of the best we had seen in our entire lives up until that point, and we made that known. Not all of us might have been on board with Sanvers (some storyline choices could've been questionable) but with Alex? No one loved her more than the queer Supergirl fans. And in the meantime Supercorp kept getting screen time, their friendship progressing in a Clois kind of way that was beautiful to witness. While Maggie and Alex's relationship advanced pretty quickly from an "I'm not gay" to a rejection to a proper first kiss, Supercorp was building a bit more organically as Supergirl kept saving Lena's life, as Lena opened up only to Kara, trusting her all the while Kara was keeping this huge secret from her. We ate that shit up, of course we did.
After season two was over we got the news that Floriana Lima (Maggie) was going to leave the show. I remember Chyler saying that she wanted to do right by us and whoever came next was gonna stay. And I'm not faulting Chyler for what came next, at all. Chyler was and always will be one of the best things on Supergirl and she has always treated the fandom with the utmost respect and love. And I hope she only received the same treatment back (and I hate to know she got those letters from people threatening to kill themselves, but let's have a little compassion for those people and their mental health, I hope they're doing well).
So Maggie left. And while some fans were not coping well with that, most fans understood it was the actress' decision. That was fine. What wasn't fine was the decision the writers made by making the breakup about not wanting babies when they were about to get married. How on Earth (any Earth) a couple don't talk about that particular issue BEFORE deciding to get married? It was an easy way out. But okay, it's just a TV show, I don't write it, we can move on from that... In the same season, at the same time this whole discussion and breakup occurs, the very same person who wanted to have kids has a meet-cute with a SINGLE MOTHER, Sam. The story was full of promise, she had a kid already with whom Alex got along amazingly, there was great chemistry between all three of them, Sam also had a dark secret being basically her sister's most powerful enemy, their relationship was mostly well built throughout the entire season. But guess what? She wasn't her new love interest, and left at the end of it.Â
A lot of Supercorp fans LOVED AgentReign (Sam/Alex), by the way. A lot of Supercorp fans also loved ReignCorp (Sam/Lena) and a few even loved AgentCorp (Lena/Alex) and SuperReign (lol what was the name of this ship? I don't remember but Kara/Sam). And guess what? There wasn't a war between us. We were mostly the same people multishipping because it's fun and because these were interesting characters with interesting relationships created by the writers. We were inventing and wishing for stuff, but the foundations were laid for us, some (most) things were there and most of us were just screaming that we liked what we were being given and wanted more of that.
And that's why come season 4, some people were having a hard time accepting Dansen. Because we were mourning the loss of Sam and her relationship with Alex, the what ifs are always the worst, no matter the situation. But most Supercorp fans embraced Kelly (and Azie, we love Azie and what we got to see of her relationship with Chyler, and Katie and Nicole), the vast majority of us ended up loving Dansen despite the writers not always doing a great job at writing their arcs. And it's awful that some fans treated her and other members of the cast horribly, but that was by far a small portion of the Supergirl fandom in general, and especially the Supercorp fandom. And, by the way, as a side note because racism was part of the problem for a minority of the fandom, A LOT of us in the Supercorp side of it are not white people from the US, A LOT of us are from other countries/races/cultures (that can be racist too of course, but the point is we don't know the races and motives of everyone behind a keyboard).
And that season most of us also embraced Nia because she was the first trans superhero, because of her queerness, because she was an awesome fun character, because she was relatable and geeky like most of us. We embraced her, her relationship with Kara and her relationship with Brainy. And we showed that by trending Nia related things, by adding Nia to our fanfics and fanarts. Nia was a Supercorp ally for most of us and we didn't exclude her from the art because we loved her as much as we love some of the other characters in the show.
Now, if Kara would have had, after the first season, one male love interest that was decent enough, we would have still love and wanted Supercorp, that's true (especially when it had been years of build-up) but most of us probably would have liked the pairing anyway, because we loved Kara Danvers and wanted her to be happy and to have the love she wanted at the beginning of the show (which she didn't get, by the way).
But the writers decided to give her, instead, another man who didn't treat her well. And I couldn't honestly tell you half of William's storyline because I couldn't care less. The creators of the show didn't make me care. Hell, I didn't even see Kara cared enough about that character. The writers should know their audience and should know that the audience needs moments to make them care about the characters, the writers have the power to make that happen. Many times I've seen a fandom hate a character one episode and love them by the next one, because sometimes all it takes is one good scene, or one good arc. William never had that. And now we have confirmation of what we knew all along, that maybe they were writing half-assed storylines for their love interests because they were too busy trying to figure out new ways to queerbait us. If they would have put a quarter of that effort into creating good love interests for Kara and/or Lena (but especially Kara), most of this conversation wouldn't still be happening 3 years later.
We embraced Andrea Rojas, we embraced her so much that we shipped her with Lena. Most of us weren't the blind Supercorp-or-nothing crazy fans a lot of people to this day make us out to be. When things were good, we mostly liked them. But please, please, let's be honest here, a lot of the time Supergirl was not a great-written show. And I get that those are Nicole's friends but a little objectivity, especially after all these years, would have come a long way.
These past few days I've read a couple of people saying Supercorp was the only good thing about the show. Those kinds of people were and still are a very very minority. A lot of us started the show before Supercorp existed and LOVED (still love) the Danvers sisters with all of our hearts. And the writers, at times, didn't know how to keep up with that relationship, the one that at first was the very center of the show, all that well either.
Most Supercorp fans didn't actually like that the 100th episode revolved all around Supercorp. 1) Because it was queerbaiting at its finest. 2) because it should've been about the Danvers sisters. Or at least about all Supergirl's most important relationships in equal measure. Yes, Lena was a big part of her, but ALEX EVEN MORE SO. The fandom didn't make that happen, we didn't fire any actor either. These were decisions made by the people who had the power to make anything in the show happen. If we would have had our way we all know what we would have done, and no, it definitely was not p**n (the most used AO3 tags for our ship speak for themselves).
I didn't see Nicole's last paragraph on the subject shared much. A lot of people didn't see that she acknowledged a small portion of the good the Supercorp fandom did.
But by the time you get to it, you already have a bad taste in your mouth. Because it still reads as if she's talking about us all without a care that "the toxic fans" were just a loud minority. Not to say that the good guys weren't louder, because Supercorp is still what it is to this day because we're still loud. So why is there very little mention of that? The way we supported Nia's episode? The way we supported Kelly's?
And because we were having fun and we were loud about our love for two fictional characters, WE WERE ALSO RECEIVING THREATS from some toxic fans, hell, the day before yesterday some fans were receiving death threats like it's 2017. Everything she says the cast and crew were dealing with, the Supercorp fans were dealing with it as well, and more so because the toxic people felt validated by the choices the creators made. Validated by some writers on Twitter making it worse. Validated by some of the actors who were also mocking us. We were all called delusional, and that was the most chill thing you could be called.
I understand her point of view, and I imagine that was not a great first experience in that kind of set, and I would love to have the opportunity to talk to actors about this topic that fascinates me (relationship between fandoms and cast/crew). But context is important, to see other people's point of views is important when having these conversations. She felt her own community wasn't supporting her when most of us were and that didn't come across at all. Not even with her final words.Â
The fact is, they were hurt by a small part of their own fandom (which, by the way, they have no idea how old those toxic fans were. Not to say that adults are not toxic. But we, as the non-toxic adults, should also think of the demographic and react accordingly). And most of us, the queer Supercorp shippers, were also hurt by the toxic part of the fandom and by some of the people she's trying to defend. Let's be clear, there's not "mayyyybe," they were 100% wrong in queerbaiting the hell out of us from day one and mocking us for believing the bait. Make no mistake, most of this is a consequence of THAT.Â

Part 3
â ăťâ ăť ââ ăťâ ăť ââ ăťâ ăť â
The new apartment was spacious, and quiet frankly beautiful. It had a large window facing the city, a decent sized kitchen with an attached balcony, a living room and 2 bedrooms.
Everything was here, all your stuff, packed in boxes, furniture delivered but waiting to be set up.
You were startled by the sound of bags ruffling in the kitchen, suddenly aware of the presence there. Haruki had been with you throughout the whole move, he had been the one to suggest you this apartment, he lives across the hall from you. He had known that you were looking for apartments for a while and suggested the vacant one in his building, although he originally wanted to suggest you move in with him, but that seemed too straight forward.
"I made katsudon, it probably isn't as good as the one you are used to having tho." He stated, gesturing towards the meal set up on the kitchen counter. You know he was indirectly referring to Bakugou's cooking but you brushed it off.
"I am just glad to have warm meal after a long day of work, Haruki, l am sure the food tastes amazing." You replied, walking towards him and taking a seat in front of him.
You both ate in silence, katsudon was good maybe not like the one at home but it was a different kind of good. Maybe it was the exhaustion weighing down your bones, or the ache of heartbreak still stinging.
"it was good." You picked up the emptied bowls and moved to the sink. Haruki hummed, tilting his head in confusion before following you.
"The food, I meant. It was good." You clarified, while staring the water and rinsing the dishes.
Haruki stood next to you, taking the soaped up dishes and running them through water. "I am glad, i didn't want you to feel lonely here. The apartment is far from main city but if it makes any better I am right next door." He said while leaning against the counter. You turned towards him only to see him already looking at you, he leaned in, before slowly pushing your hairs behind your ear. "I think this is it for today. I'll call it a night and deal with the rest of it tomorrow." You mumbled while stepping back, the proximity seemed a little less for your comfort.
"that's alright, I'll take my leave for today as well", sensing your discomfort he moved out of the kitchen and through the front door.
The silence was alot louder then you anticipated, the absence of another person suddenly causing your throat to constrict. You shock your head to clear up your thoughts and went to your room. The only thing set up was your bed, you laid down and picked up your phone.
Suki : I am sorry.
You put the phone back down, and turned over to sleep.
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
The loud knocking wasn't really how you were expecting to be woken up with. The clock read a time too early for you to be up considering you were on leave.
You stood up and went to the door, not really caring what you looked like hoping to deal with the nuisance and go back to bed. You swing the door open, only to see the cause of your heartbreak standing in front of you. Blond hair, more messy than usual, fidgety hands holding a white bad.
"you left me on seen" Bakugou barged in the apartment, not bothered by your disheveled appearance, having seen you in worse.
"Can I get an explanation?" you closed the door, moving into the living room, only to see him move smoothly around your kitchen. Suprisingly knowing where, what is without ever being here.
"it was shitty of me to leave that day, and even more shittier for me to apologise over text", he paused, before turning around and pulling 2 bottles of beer out of the bag. "So, I have come to apologise."
"And why do you know where what is in my kitchen?"
"you arranged your kitchen just like our was", he retorted," all plates, bowls and wine glasses in lower shelves because you used them more often" he looked smug, that did irritate you a little.
You let out a breath, before you looked over to what he had bought, katsudon, within bright orange and red containers that you had gifted him as a joke, 2 bottles of beer and fried onions, fucking fried onions because he knows you like to sprinkle it on savoury food.
"what do you want, Katsuki?", you questioned him, moving around him to grab a pair of chopsticks and starting to eat.
He looked at you silently, eating on the counter straight out of the plastic container, you looked tired, more than usual, bags under your eyes, nose red. He wonders when had it all started, he knows he broke your heart, heck he knows he is breaking it right now as well, you don't show it, you never do, always dealing with your suffering in silence.
"I came to apologise, I am the one that messed up, I get that you want to keep distance from be but why the whole squad?" He queried,"why did you leave the agency, you don't even hang out with the girls, Mina had been worrying alot you know?", he moved over to the cabinets and got out a glass, opening the freezer and filling it with ice pouring the beer from the bottle into it.
You remained silent, choosing to focus on katsudon.
"Don't choke on it, I know you hate confrontations, I don't need answers" he set the glass down next to you before continuing,"at least not right now".
"i didn't want to make things awkward with the squad," you finally spoke, taking a big gulp from the glass,"nobody really knows that I like you, and I really didn't want to cause a sense just because you got a girl."
"why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you confess?", He reasoned, fingers fidgeting, a nervous tick you know, he has.
You turned towards him and smiled, the kind of smile he hated because there were tears in your eyes, the ones that you only shed when you knew you were alone, when you knew that your grief wouldn't be shared. The kind of smile you gave when you told your truths.
"How long did it take for you to confess to her, Bakugou?", You asked him, there are still tears in your eyes, nose still red, you are no longer averting your eyes, but looking straight at him, your shoulders are still slumped. He doesn't know what made his heart ache more, the defeat in your eyes, your truth that you put out or the fact that you called him by his surname.

Hi, I love your blog so much it's amazing.
I was wondering if you could write some Joel Miller being jealous? Like they're in some kind of relationship but Joel doesn't want to put a word to it and arrive to some camp and a guy from there is trying to flirt with reader but she just has eyes for Joel, could be the first I love you confession from him, to make things official between them? Fluff because my heart can't handle anything else :').
AN | Jealous!Joel? Okay, okay, I see you!
Pairing | Joel Miller x Fem!Reader

Joel Miller wasnât a relationship type of guy; he hadnât been for a long time and it seemed pointless to start now. And thatâs exactly how you found yourself in a sort of relationship with himâŚa situationship if you will.Â
He also wasnât the jealous type either. You werenât his girlfriend, or his partner, or what have you. You happened to be another person living in Jackson that he spent an inordinate amount of time with and had sex with. Lots of sexâŚhe liked to think of it as stress relief. Yeah. Thatâs it - stress relief. Everyone could use some of that given the current state of the world.Â
But, in conclusion, you werenât anything more to him than anyone else.Â
So why did he experience a definitely-not-jealous-feeling deep in the pit of his stomach when he saw you talking to one of Jacksonâs newcomers?
He wasnât jealous. No. Nope. Definitely not.Â
He just wanted to strangle any man that talked to you, or looked in your direction. It was a totally normal reactionâŚor at least thatâs what he tried to convince himself.Â
âââ シ ・ďžâ: *.â˝ .* :âďž. âââ
âJoel?â you found him stalking through downtown and had rushed to catch up with him. You hadnât seen him in the last couple of days and when you had heâd barely spoken a word or even graced you with a look.Â
You could see his shoulders stiffen for a moment but he slowed his stride so you could catch up with him. You quickly fell into stride, but you could sense that he was in a mood. You nudged your arm against his and he grunted in response, âwhat?â
âWhat?â you parroted back at him, frowning in response, âor like whatâs been up with you lately?â
âI have no clue what youâre talking about,â the man was stubborn beyond measure sometimes. You huffed and waited for him to expand but he refused to give in to you, âbeen busy.â
âBusy,â he refused to look at you, but he could feel you glowering at him, âweâre all busy, Miller. That doesnât mean we donât make time for each other.â
âYou expect me to make time for you?â his twang came out as he stopped suddenly and you almost tripped over your own feet as you stopped as well. He crossed his arms over his broad chest, head cocked to the side. Your expression clearly said duh, âand just why would I do, sweetheart?â
âYouâre being a jerk,â you pushed his shoulder, gently, although you doubted you could really do much damage to him, even if you wanted to, âlast time I checked I thought we enjoyed spending time together. But over the past few days youâve had such a-a bee in your bonnet.â
âLast time I checked I didnât owe you anything,â and oh. Those words definitely stung, âwe arenât anything.â
âOh wow,â you were hurt, but you werenât about to let him know how much, âthatâs rich coming from you. I donât know what your problem suddenly is, but if youâre going to be a jerk, you can fuck off. And next time you need something, donât bother knocking at my door. But if you decide to get over whatever this is, or want to talk to me like a grown man, you know where to find me.â
Your reaction had left him stunned; he knew you could hold your own when you needed to, but youâd never talked to him like that before. In that moment you definitely werenât that soft, sweet girl heâd grown to love. Love. But heâd never admit it; truthfully he might not have even come to that realization just yet.
You stomped away, leaving him standing there and staring after you, a dismal expression on his face. He might have been a quiet man, but he wasnât often left speechless. Youâd just managed to do so.
âââ シ ・ďžâ: *.â˝ .* :âďž. âââ
You made it a point to avoid him over the next couple of days, figuring that if he really wanted to make things right he would come to you. You missed him, admittedly, but decided to throw yourself into doing things around town to keep your mind occupied.Â
Thatâs how youâd gotten to know the newcomers to Jackson. There were a few women and teenagers, along with some men. For the most past, they were all kind and wanted to keep out wherever they could.Â
One of the duties you least liked was being put in charge of one of the community gardens. You had a green-thumb adjacent at best, and didnât want to be the only one responsible for any bad vegetables or fruits, so you had recruited Max, one of the newbies, to assist you. If you were going down, he was coming right along with you.
You liked Max, so far. He was around your age, handsome in a tall, dark, and roguish way, with a nice smile and good sense of humor. And, unlike men had done since the dawn of time, he didnât make you feel uncomfortable. So, you had decided, he was going to be your friend.Â
âYouâre horrible at this,â Max laughed as you fumbled around with some tomato vines, trying to get the ripe fruit without destroying anything else, âhow are you making this so difficult?â
âShut up,â you groaned but it quickly turned into a laugh as you fell onto your bottom from how you were teetering and crouching. You managed to knock the whole plant down (sorry tomatoes), âoops.â
Max had dropped the small shovel he had been working with, head thrown back as he laughed, âand youâre clumsy on top of it. Iâll remember that for the future.â
You grabbed a small handful of soil and threw it over at him, âbold of you to assume that weâre ever hanging out again after this. Youâre bullying me!â
âSo dramatic,â he snorted in amusement as he brushed off the dirt and came over to you, offering you his hand to help you to your feet, âcome on, Iâll let you bully me in return.â
You took his hand and he gently hoisted you to your feet. You almost stumbled into him, but caught yourself by putting your hands on his shoulders as his found purchase on your waist. You looked at him in surprise and he smiled softly, causing you to relax. He was so close, and pretty, and nice, and you could just lean in and kiss him. Max must have been thinking the same thing because he started to lean in too. A shiver of excitement ran down your spine, until-
âGet your hands off of her,â the two of you jumped apart at the sound of his very angry voice. Your face flushed with warmth, a combination of being caught red-handed and annoyance because you werenât technically doing anything wrong. Maxâs glance shifted over to Joel and then back to you, ânow take a step back.â
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â you hissed at him, âwhy are you here, Joel?â
âAre you twoâŚ?â
âNo.â
âYes.â
At the sound of Joelâs answer your eyes widened in surprise as your jaw almost dropped to the ground. Max held up his hands in a sign of surrender as he started to slowly back away, âhey man, I didnât know she was your girl.â
âDonât worry Max,â you offered him an apologetic look, âI didnât know that either.â
âI gotta go, but Iâll see you around,â he said sheepishly, âbye!â
He almost ran off, leaving the two of you there, the tension so thick. After a moment you turned towards him and shook your head. You werenât quite sure what to say so you decided to just walk past him, but not before giving him a full glare, âyouâre such a dick sometimes. First you shove me away like Iâm nothing and now you act like Iâm yours. How about I make the final decision? We, you and I, are done. Whatever you want to call it, itâs over. Maybe then you can figure out your own feelings.â
But the man wasnât about to just let you go. No, that was not his style.Â
His fingers wrapped around your wrist and his strong grip kept you from walking away.Â
âStay,â he insisted gruffly, causing you to pout in that way that always made his knees weak.Â
âWhy? Are you going to apologize?â
He remained silent and you could see that the answer to that was clearly no. You huffed as you pulled your hand out of his and started to walk away. He remained silent as he watched you go. He could have just said everything he wanted to and gotten it all out there butâŚheâd chickened out.Â
âFuck,â he groaned, âfuck.â
âââ シ ・ďžâ: *.â˝ .* :âďž. âââ
You didnât run into Joel again for almost a week. You wondered if it was partly him avoiding you or you just didnât happen to cross paths. Jackson was only so big; you knew the truth.Â
But as your feelings would have it, you really, really missed the man. Heâd become such an important and vital part of your life and not having him around felt like you were missing a huge part of your heart.
When you decided that you couldnât take it anymore, you made a plan to take matters into your own hands. You left your place and made the short trek over to his, knocking on the door loudly. He was home; you could see the light and if he had sort of sense, he would open the door.Â
After a few long moments of buzzy anticipation, you heard his familiar footsteps come towards the door. He opened it slowly and his brown eyes widened when he saw that it was you. He was a mixture of confused and happy.
âWhat are youâŚ?â he didnât get the opportunity to finish his question, instead watching as you made your way inside, brushing past him and causing sparks to shoot down his spine.Â
âCan we just talk?â you were already in the kitchen, leaning against the counter as you looked at him softly. You couldnât help it; you were a sucker for this man.
âYes,â he agreed, coming in and mirroring your position on the other side of the counter. You wanted to be made, or at the very least annoyed, but you couldnât find it in your heart, âIâm sorry for what I said.â
âWhich part?â if he thought you were letting him off easily, he was so wrong, âthe part where you said we were nothing, or the part where you changed your mind - unilaterally I might add - and decided we were something?â
âBoth,â he pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a long sigh, âI was an idiot.â
âYeah,â you agreed, âyou were. What changed your mind?â
âThat kid,â you could see the tick in his jaw as he frowned deeply. Ahhh. Yes, you knew exactly what was going on; Joel Miller was jealous. He just wasnât going to admit it in those terms.Â
âHis name is Max,â okay, maybe now you were just doing it to get a rouse out of him, âand heâs perfectly nice. He was just helping me.â
âHe wanted to do a little more than help,â the man tore his gaze from you and huffed.Â
âJoel Miller, youâre jealous,â your smile was practically stretching from ear to ear as you beamed at him, âjust admit it! Thatâs what all this has been about?â
âIâm a grown ass man,â he sounded anything but, âI donât get jealous.âÂ
âOkay, so you werenât jealous justâŚsomething incredibly like it?â you asked. He shrugged dismissively in response but gave away no emotions or anything, âhuh, thatâs interesting.â
âItâs not, no. Iâm not the-â
âI get jealous too sometimes,â you admitted sheepishly, hiding your face in your hands, embarrassed to admit it out loud, âwhen those women practically throw themselves at you. Makes me want toâŚI donât know, show them youâre mine.â
âWhat are you-â
âYouâre such a man,â you flopped your head to the side, âthose women - and men - love you. Youâre sexy, and smart, and lots of other things, but apparently so oblivious. But I guess that doesnât matter though.â
âWhat do you mean?â he was leaning closer now and you could smell his familiar scent; it made you want to curl up with him and let him swallow you whole.
âYou said we werenât anything so,â ugh. You wished you didnât get so emotional over this, âit doesnât matter what I think or want. I shouldnât have assumed anything.â
âI lied,â and it was oh so hard for him to admit that, âthat day. I was justâŚmad - not at you. I just thought, when I saw you with all the new people, that you liked them and they were all over you, especially that one kid-â
âMax.â
âMax,â he didnât like the taste of the name in his mouth, âI just figured youâd want someone like that and not me.â
âYouâre a fool,â you shook your head in disbelief, âIâve never wanted anyone but you.â
âI neverâŚputting labels on things seems trivial,â he whispered, âhow can what you mean to me be summed up with one word? I just never thought about it; it never meant you didnât mean everything to me.â
"IâŚ" you felt a prickling at the back of your eyes that caused you to try and blink it away, "do you mean that?"
"Yes," he reached over, hesitantly at first before settling his hand on your face brushing your tears away with his thumb, "I mean it. You're veryâŚimportant to me."
"You're important to me too," you put your hand on top of his and gave it a gentle, tender squeeze, "we don't have to put labels on anything. Just as long as we're on the same page about everything."
"You're mine," he promised and you felt yourself practically glowing. His words made you feel all warm and fuzzy, butterflies fluttering in your tummy. You nodded happily, "I know I'm not great with a lot of things but I do love you. I hope you know that."
"Hmm," you hummed as you closed your eyes contentedly, "I love you, even if you're a stubborn, tough man."
"Enough to accept my apology?" he had his answer already but needed to hear you say it. You rolled your eyes playfully.
"I suppose," you leaned in closer and smiled softly.
"Enough to let me kiss you?"
"Definitely."

This belongs to a different Oneshot, but can be read on its own.
âĽâââââââââââ˘.âĄ.â˘âââââââââââââĽ
Something that Jungkook has proven to you, is that he is a way better lover than anyone you've ever had before.
And another thing both of you are facing nowadays, is the more.. upsetting part of your relationship, at least in the way it's viewed by others.
Like an invitation.
You can't go to any club or bar without being watched- mainly since Jungkook doesn't make it a secret that he's head over heels in love with you. And that in itself isn't new- omega on omega relationships are becoming more and more common, just like any other random pairing of sub-genders. But that doesn't mean that the sexualization of it doesn't still happen.
It's not taken seriously- mainly by alphas.
Seen as a connection made simply out of desperation and need, you're constantly approached by alpha's who think they can 'give you what you need'- when in reality, you both already have all you could ever want.
But you're still seen as nothing but two lost souls who are in need of guidance.
Sometimes, you wonder how Jungkook can stay so confident and strong when his masculinity and most of all role as your partner is constantly challenged. As if he's not the right fit for you, he's always dismissed as nothing but a current temporary fix for your lack of an appropriate partner. You're not sure if he's just silently suffering from these words and actions- or if he's really that strong.
Maybe the answer is in the heated kisses he offers you inside of his car every time you leave some sort of social setting where something like that has occurred. Maybe the answer is in the desperate way he touches you after such events, in the sheer need to have you close and marked up.
Maybe he's not at all unaffected- but he just knows how to reassure himself.
"Why don't you wanna go out with Yoongi and the others?" Jungkook wonders innocently, hugging you from behind. "Jimin's there too." He tries to remind you, but you shake your head.
"I don't like going to those clubs." You mumble, having learned to be honest and upfront with Jungkook. "I don't know, I just don't wanna." You shrug.
"It's cause of them, isn't it?" He asks, sitting on the kitchen counter, watching your shoulders slump down, hands holding your cup of juice. "Does it bother you?" Jungkook asks, and you want to shake your head- but he wasn't finished in his sentence.
"Does it bother you that I'm not an alpha?" He asks, and you look at him, and spot something you didn't think you would.
He's not looking at you, but at your lips. He's avoiding eye-contact. He's pretending to be confident.
"No." You shake your head, walking closer to him after putting the empty cup in the sink, moving between his legs to hug his body and lean your head against his stomach. "It bothers me that it bothers everyone else." You instead mumble. "It's not fair."
"Do you think you'd feel better going out if you had an alpha partner?" Jungkook asks, hand on your shoulder, always caring, always soft, always gentle.
"No." You deny.
"No?" He asks, and you shake your head.
"Because then it wouldn't be you."
At that, Jungkook jumps from the counter, walks you back until your back hits the small table in the kitchen, his hands holding your cheeks, before he kisses you, hungry, a smile interrupting him constantly as his piercings touch your lips, colder than the rest of him. "You're so sweet." He chuckles, eyes hooded, but full of warmth. "I love you so much." He purrs, before he captures your lips once more, needing to be closer again, grip on the back of your thighs enough of a signal to you to jump up into his grasp, as he walks you barely to the couch in the living room, where you both almost trip and fall.
This is where you want to be. You don't ever need to leave this apartment, as long as Jungkook's here.
"Would you like to spend your heat with me?" He asks mostly through a breath, while he runs his lips over your neck, hands already eager to rid you of your clothes.
"Yes." you breathe out, because of course you want to. There's no one else you'd want to spend it with, after all.
You don't need an alpha.
You just need him.
"Hm my timing could be better, huh?" He chuckles amused, hands sneaking into your shorts to push them down, not bothering to push them far enough for you to really properly get out of them- fabric caught at your ankles, along with your underwear. "I'll ask you later.." He purrs, hand between your legs. "...after I made sure you're stuffed full of my cum." He tells you with no shame, licking his lips.
So he knows.
"It was supposed to be a surprise." You whine, and he laughs openly, biting impishly at your mark he's left. It'll never stay forever unless he renews it time after time- a downside to him not having any alpha-genes in himself. But he would mark you up even if he didn't have to.
Because it's a promise he will give you time and time again.
A promise he'll receive from you as well, time and time again.
"Gotta get better at hiding things from me then, pretty baby." He chuckles, sucking marks onto your collarbone. "Or.. maybe not." He shrugs, adjusting himself while his hand works you up for him, when your hands sneak up his shirt.
"I don't wanna hide from you." You say, and he smiles, looking at you before he leans back to pull his shirt over his head.
"And I wouldn't ever want that either." He hums, kissing you again. "But-" He interrupts himself. "-You could've told me baby. I heard it hurts a lot to get it." He worries, and you shrug, moving your back a bit up so he can help you out of your sweater.
"It did." You say, as you remember the pain. "They said it wouldn't. But it really did." You tell him, and he playfully pouts, feigning worry.
"Oh my poor baby, doing all of that just so I can breed her.." He chuckles, joking while you roll your eyes. "But really." Jungkook says, now a little more serious. "Next time you wanna do stuff like this- tell me."
"I wanna get my nipples pierced, maybe." You blurt out bluntly, and his eyes grow wide like two moons, hands stilling in the act of undoing the belt of his jeans.
"Really?" He asks, resuming his task, standing up to step out of his pants, before he rids himself of his underwear as well.
"Yeah." You nod. "There's cute jewelry for it." You hum, watching him get close again, leaning over you, palms grabbing at your tits as if to imagine it.
"I can see it suiting you well." He nods, leaning back to admire your chest in his hands. "Two little hearts. Pink gemstones." He tilts his head a little, thumbs running over your by now hardened nipples. "Hm, the more I think about it, the better it gets." He laughs, especially when he notices you growing restless from his antics, and the shameless display of his already twitching length.
How can he act so unbothered when he's clearly hard and leaking already?
"Koo!" You complain, feet reaching for him, and he laughs.
"Very cute." He comments, aligning himself at your entrance, covering the tip in your arousal. "But I think I wanna hear you say my name a little different.." He growls down at you, boldly licking at your neck before he pushes himself inside, a sigh escaping him at the feeling of you bare.
Who said you need an alpha?
By now he knows how much you can take- how you like it, even though he's still interested in trying out new things every single time. This time however, he's chasing a different thing, other than seeing you fucked out-
because with your IUD in place, he can finally, truly, claim you as his, and present a new kind of possession over you wherever you go. A different smell that he knows every alpha will be aware of-
a sign to back off, because you're not up for grabs, and neither is he.
The feeling of you without any kind of barrier makes him dizzy- causes his mind to fog up like the windows of his car that one time you two had sex in it and almost broke something in the process. He can't help himself.
He's a strong guy, and he puts his all into his love for you- the physical aspects, as well as the emotional ones.
And maybe that's why he should be aware of the way the old couch is protesting rather loudly against his hands bracing his body against the siderest, item of furniture not meant to be tested to this degree- at least not anymore, after it's already way too long lifetime.
But he can't bring himself to care, instead mesmerized by his dick entirely coated by your arousal, clear strands of it keeping his pelvis connected to you, sounds obscene between the two of you.
Your heats are close, after all. It's no wonder your body is reacting like this.
It'll be surely a test once he actually goes through the whole ordeal with him. Because down the line, he won't be able to fully give you what an alpha would be able to. And neither can you.
Will you somehow manage, still?
You don't care.
Right now he's pushing his hips as deep as they can go, jaw clenched, growls escaping him while you grip his arms, fingers digging into his biceps.
And then, something crunches- Jungkook's instincts catching him just in time to instead hold himself up with his hands next to your head, mind unable to really care right now what exactly he broke on the small sofa-
because he's so goddamn close. He can't stop now- he'll fuck you on the floor if he has to, but he needs to keep going.
It's another hint at his own heat approaching. Because actually knotting you is becoming harder and harder to do without the proper hormones being released.
"Jungkook-" You whine, and he nods, well aware, knowing that you're already coming undone beneath him, core clenching around his cock buried deep inside- but he's still just clawing at the very edge, unable to fall off. "-It's-" You start, but he shakes his head.
Stubborn.
He doesn't need an alpha. He needs you, no one else.
"I can." He growls, cutting you off in frustration, sweat building from the effort he puts into his thrusts, eyes closed. "I can.!" He grits out between clenched teeth-
and in that moment, you have an idea, pulling him down by his neck before you bite him back, marking his neck.
And it does the trip, if his drawn out whimper is anything to go by, knot swelling as he pushes himself in deep, cum coating your insides, filling you up.
You're breathing heavily, as Jungkook adjusts you both to lay down somewhat comfortably.
"What was that sound?" You wonder quietly, fingers playing with his hair.
"Me cumming or the sofa breaking?" He chuckles, clearly on cloud nine now that he's satisfied.
"You broke the sofa?" You worry, and he laughs.
"I think? I'm not sure." He shrugs, legs pulling you closer. "I'll check after I cleaned you up." He hums against your lips, and you giggle.
"I can just go clean up myself while you fix the sofa." You suggest- though his eyes are sharp and dark with desire, still.
"That's not the way I want to clean you up though, pretty baby." He purrs-
causing your own arousal to be set aflame again.
...though you do end up changing furniture, no longer trusting the old sofa to go through another round.

Rockstar Girlfriend III. | Hazel CallahanÂ
Rockstar! Hazel Callahan x Popstar! Reader Summary: Hazel Callahan and Y/n L/n have to be in a pr relationship, but both of them can stand each other but recently things are starting to look up. Warnings: Enemies to lovers! Enemies to lovers! Enemies to lovers! Fluff, slight loser! Hazel. Not proof read. Sorry for any mistake, English isn't my main language. a/n: I should be doing an essay for class here we are. Hope you enjoy and thank you so much for all the love. There could possibly be another part. ps. the song is "Lavender Haze" by Taylor Swift
part one. part two. part four. part five.
âSurreal, I'm damned if I do give a damn what people say. No deal, the 1950s shit they want from meâ
The two lines stared back at her as she anxiously tapped her pen against the couch hoping that some words would magically show up. She was desperate, very desperate. The deadline was near and she had made zero to no progress only having the first two lines of the song. She needed to finish the last song on the album, her manager had emphasized how important this album was for their career as a band. They needed to hop on the wave of success âdatingâ Hazel Callahan brought.Â
She hated it, the only reason people were actually listening to her band wasnât because they were talented but because she was attached to Hazelâs name. Not only did Hazel have several awards, a reputation of a god and a talented band but now Y/nâs band success was thanks to her. She wanted to prove to the people that she was as talented as Hazel Callahan and her band. Thatâs why she offered herself to write that song on the album and thatâs how she found herself at one am in the morning in the recording studio attempting to get out of the writer's block she had been stuck in for days.Â
âNo deal, the 1950âs shit they want for me. I just..â Y/n hummed the melody as taped the pen on the cushion attempting to get a beat. She was determined to get this song out. She needed to prove to her manager, to herself, to her band and to Hazel that she was talented. âFor fucks sakeâ Y/n muttered out as she took a sip of energy drink crumbling the paper up and throwing it in a pile of paper on the floor. She threw her head back on the couch stretching her legs under the coffee table. She closed her eyes, controlling her breath. Someone had cleared their throat from the other side of the room startling her. Y/n had lifted her head staring at the person in front of her.Â
Hazel Callahan stood before Y/n, the only thing separating them was the table in the middle of the studio. Hazelâs body was adorned in a familiar sweater which instantly caused Y/n to smile at her. Hazel held onto her guitar case while her tote bag rested on her shoulder. She sent a warm smile towards Y/nâs way, not her usual smirk, which actually scared her. For Y/n, this felt like she was crossing unknown territory. Why was Hazel at the studio late at night? It didnât make any sense.Â
âHey, I hope Iâm not bothering your creative process. I just.. You know. I was here in the morning and left by lunch. Didnât see you move from your spot so I thought you might be hungry. I brought some food so we could eat. I always get good inspiration with a full stomach so I decided to bring your usual, I think⌠Iâve seen you order it a bunch of times before so I really hope itâs your usual and that I didnât get it wrongâ Hazel rambled quickly, taking out a brown bag from her tote bag and placing it on top of the table in front of them. She slowly rested her guitar case against the leather couch and quickly sat in front of the table also taking out her food out of her tote bag.Â
âYou know. Itâs kind of scary that youâre being this nice to me.â Y/n said softly as she inspected the bag slowly, surprised that Hazel had gotten her usual order perfectly. Hazel took a bite of the fries shrugging her off.Â
âI know itâs hard to believe but I am a nice person, Y/n. I just like messing with you, you make this cute little face when you're angryâ She replied, taking a bite of her burger as Y/n followed her actions. Y/n could feel her face flushing at Hazelâs compliment. Her voice saying her name sounded like a melody she couldnât get out of her head. What was happening?
âThank You, Hazel. I really appreciate you bringing the food and everything but I need to finish this song. Management wants it for tomo.. Well actually today and Iâm not even halfway done. â Y/n said, placing her food down and reaching to grab her pen. As she grabbed it Hazel rested her hands on top of hers. Y/n looked up, locking eyes with Hazel as she felt herself loose the grip on the pen. Hazel cleared her throat, tapping her hand awkwardly, moving it away quickly. She looked to the side awkwardly, not wanting to face Y/n.Â
âYou are stressed and itâs pretty clear that you need a break. So forget about the song and talk to me. I know youâll get the inspiration soon enough, Y/n. You are a talented girl.â Hazel said, rubbing the back of her neck turning to look at her quickly.Â
âYou, Hazel Callan, an award winning rock star, think Iâm talented?â Y/n gasped dramatically placing a hand towards her chest in a joking manner not believing Hazelâs words. Hazel rolled her eyes, continuing eating her food.Â
âI actually believe you guys are underrated. I consider myself a very big B/n fan. Your last album and quite honestly I believe it deserved several awards. More people need to hear you guys. I know that if they take the time theyâll see how talented you are and youâll be on top of the worldâ Hazel responded, scrunching up the wrapper and throwing it inside the paper bag.Â
âI didnât know you were such a fan. Wouldâve sent you a signed sweater instead of the one you have.â Y/n said while continuing to eat her food. Hazelâs smiled started to form slowly while looking down at her Y/nâs merch.Â
âI had to fight someone for this sweater, Ln. Now you should understand how big of a fan I am. So if you give me a signed one, Iâll love you foreverâ She said jokingly while leaning towards the pile of papers picking one up reading Y/nâs messy writing on a scrunched up piece. Â
âPlease donât laugh at it. I tried my best.â Y/n muttered while placing her head on the table hiding her face from Hazel.Â
âNo, Y/n. Youâre off to a good start. Let me help you out. Maybe we can come up with something together. You wrote here, I feel the blank, creeping up on me, what did you really want to write? Come on donât be shyâ She asked, while her eyes reread the lyrics. Her hand reached towards her guitar case, took her acoustic guitar out and placed it on her lap. As she strummed the guitar tuning it, Y/n felt herself smile. She wanted to write a love song and as much as she wanted to push Hazel away, the only thing she could think about was Hazel and her lavender sweater.Â
âLavender Hazeâ She muttered softly onto the table. Hazel straightens up trying to see her facial expressions. Y/n slowly raised her face up looking at Hazel. Â
âSpeak up, pretty girl,â Hazel said, sending her way an encouraging smile. Y/n felt herself blushed, feeling completely flustered by Hazelâs actions.Â
âLavender Haze. I feel a Lavender Haze creeping up on me. â Y/n replied confidently, while she watched Hazel nodded writing down on the paper.Â
âWell, Y/n. Letâs make Lavender haze a real hit, babyâ Hazel replied, passing her the pen with a confident smile. Thatâs how two girls that supposedly hated each other wrote a song at midnight about the Lavender Haze.Â
...
Thank You so much for reading.

I Protect Those I Love | Tommy Shelby
â ď¸ THIS IS A REPOST FROM MY MAIN BLOG @/DLMLUFICS. UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE TO DO IT THIS WAY. MORE INFO IN MY PINNED POST.
Pairing: Tommy Shelby x Reader
Request: No
Fic Type: Imagine.
Warnings: Mention of readers father being a scumbag, mentions of assault. Protective Tommy. Short and sweet.Â
Word Count: 917
TOMMY SHELBY MASTERLIST || MAIN MASTERLIST
Y/N's wiping down the bar of The Garrison when the doors slam open and shut, causing her to jump and reach for the gun she keeps hidden under the bar. It is past closing time, so she isn't expecting anyone. She's about to pull the gun out when she sees the intruder, which is none other than Thomas Shelby.Â
"Damn you, Tommy. You almost gave me a fucking heart attack," she scolds the Peaky Blinder and her lover. Her attitude toward him changes when she takes in his appearance. A bruise is already forming around the cut on his cheek. Her whole body is filled with worry for the handsome, blue-eyed man. "What happened?"Â
"A man came looking for you at the betting shop," Tommy informs her. "He said he was your father."Â
Her body freezes as she feels the blood drain from her face, her skin going a shade or two lighter as she thinks about the man who has caused her nothing but pain. She told Tommy all about him when their relationship became more than just a friendship. She'd hoped he wouldn't be able to find her, assuming that Small Heath would be the last place he'd think to look if he bothered at all.Â
"Tommy, I..." she hesitates. "I didn't know he would come looking for me."Â
"I know," he assures her, moving closer to the bar.Â
On instinct, she grabs a glass, fills it with Tommy's usual order, an Irish whiskey, and slides it in front of him as he takes a seat across from her. She goes to pull her hand back when Tommy takes it in his larger hand, his thumb stroking the back of it. "I promised I wouldn't let him hurt you anymore, and I'll do anything to keep that promise."Â
"What did you do, Tommy?" She asks, her stomach churning at the thought of the length he'd go to for her protection.Â
She picks up a clean cloth and an opened bottle of alcohol and moves around from behind the bar. Tommy shifts on the stool he's sitting on, so he's facing her as she dampens the cloth with some alcohol. She stands between his legs, taking his chin between her fingers to tilt his head and hold it steady. He barely flinches as she dabs the cloth against the cut in his cheek, wiping the blood away along with anything that could cause infection.Â
"Your father got himself into some trouble, and you were the price he had to pay to get out of it." His tone is tense and angry, his eyes filled with rage at her father.Â
She stops dabbing at his cut as she takes in the furious look on his face. She's never seen Tommy so angry before, and she's never felt so scared about what he's done. She knows her father is a scumbag. It's one of the many things she and Tommy bonded overâtheir good-for-nothing fathers. But she never thought he would go so low as to use her as a bargaining chip for his debt. It makes her feel sick, especially with where her mind is going.Â
"Was he going to trade me for his debt?" She asks.Â
Tommy nods. "Like I said, I won't let anything happen to you. I took care of the men to whom he owed his debts too."Â
"And my father?" She asks, knowing exactly what he meant by "taking care of those men."Â
"He's fine," Tommy sighs, picking up his glass of whisky and downing it all at once. "I told him he owes me, and for payment he has to leave you alone and never return to Birmingham."Â
"I don't know what to say," she says, unsure of what to think of the situation. She despises her father's lifestyle and dirty scheming ways, but he's her father, and she hopes that one day he will change his ways. But a part of her knows that he never will, and there are some things he's done that are unforgivable. She reminds herself of those times, and any sympathy she has for the old drunk vanishes.Â
"I love you," he admits, cupping her cheek with his less injured hand. It was the first time he spoke those words out loud. He'd been thinking about saying them for weeks, but when he tried, they never came out. "And I protect those that I love."Â
Her eyes soften as she looks lovingly at the man who's become her home. "You're a good man, Thomas Shelby."Â
"But I do a lot of bad things," he whispers just loud enough for her to hear him. For the first time since the war, he's felt ashamed of himself. He knows Y/N deserves more than him. She doesn't deserve everything he pulls her into. But he's a selfish and greedy man. He takes what he wants, and he wants her. He needs her.Â
"Everyone does bad things, Tommy, even the godliest people do." She reminds him. "It doesn't mean you're a bad person, not if you have the right intentions."Â
Without saying another word, Tommy brings her in close, placing a soft kiss on her lips as her arms make their way around his shoulders.Â
She breaks the kiss, keeping their faces close. The scents of whiskey, cigarettes, and mint mix together.Â
"And I love you too," she whispers against his lips, pressing her own against his as she kisses him passionately, showing just how much, she loves him.Â

So idk if this is a hot take or not, but I liked the end of TLOVM Season 3.
(More under the cut? Is that what they say?)
TL;DR: this version of Bardâs Lament fixed a problem I had with the original campaign, I think all the wrap up at the end was probably done as well as it couldâve been, and the way it ends with a tenuous semi-resolution is in-keeping with the way that it played out in game, albeit in a more condensed format.
âââ
The main thing Iâve seen people talking about is the lack of Bardâs Lament (kinda), and I was upset about that idea at first too. But honestly, I think this change does a lot of justice specifically to the relationship between Scanlan and Pike.
A lot of what happened in Bardâs Lament was due to the fact that nobody noticed that Scanlan was struggling, and thatâs all well and good except for the fact that Pike absolutely would have.
The only reason she didnât was because Ashley Johnson herself wasnât able to be there. Idk about anyone else, but that narrative gap due to âmeta interferenceâ has always bothered me. I kind of love that they were able to rectify that in the show, and give us the way that Bardâs Lament likely would have gone if real life didnât get in the way.
We finally get to see how it would have went down if Pike didnât have such a Blind Spot, and I love that for her.
âââ
Iâve also seen people talking about how the ending felt lackluster, and I can see where theyâre coming from, but I personally disagree.
I was a little anxious at the start of episode 10 when they started to split up to do a bunch of the previously group-based activities, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that, aside from not getting the group kill on Ripley, it didnât bother me that much (and we still got the âone arrow in her heart and another in her mouth while she screamsâ, which makes me happy).
Especially because it gave time to see more of the twins on their own (which I will always take more of) and let Keyleth do her Earth Ashari stuff, which we didnât even get in the original show as it happened pre-stream (but wouldâve felt weird to leave out here given that they havenât established that). And we finally got EarthElemental!Keyleth. Itâs Key-teor time!
It also put her Aramente into more of a focus in her life, which needed to happen at some point anyway. And they still got to be together (kinda) for the final showdown against Raishan, so the conclusion was still there.
âââ
In the campaign, they had this weird kind of limbo period (the part with Tary) before the year-long gap where they were sort of just tying up loose ends. That felt fine as a game, but wouldâve been super clunky on TV. So Iâm glad that they found other ways to get the group to the point where it felt like going their own ways for a while was okay and also necessary (though I do wish we had gotten more of the twins struggling with the idea of being away from each other). I just really needed Vax to get his year in Zephrah!
All that being said, I am a little sad that we probably wonât get Tary in the show.
âââ
The vibe that I always got with the Vecna arc was that the group was pretty much ready to settle into their non-adventuring lives before they had to stop the end of the world again (aside from Scanlan stuff, but I already talked about that). In order for that to be the case, they need to have a period of time where it kind of feels like everything is wrapped up and happy. In my opinion, they were quite successful in this regard, which is impressive given how they were able to get there in only 3 episodes.
Idk Iâve just been wondering for a while about how the were going to navigate this part of the campaign, and Iâm quite pleased with how they managed it. Thatâs not to say itâs perfect, but I feel as content with it as I do with all the other changes theyâve made whilst adapting to a different medium.
âââ
⌠also Iâve been wanting to gush over one tiny detail. I love the way that Vaxâs interaction with Orthax went. Not only because of how it finally established him and Percy as brothers, but itâs also a cool way to loop in his multi-classing. Orthax specifically talks about Vax giving in to vengeance, and in the campaign he becomes a VENGEANCE Paladin! I thought it was a really fun way to kind of hint at that shift without needing to get into the dnd of it all :)

Can I request a âMr. Villainâs day offâ fic..
The General x Human fem reader, who makes and sells stuffed animals in a little shop near the Zoo..
And maybe The General grew suspicious of her when he Sees âRed Rangerâ practically abused her on her walk home one night, asking Reader to join the Rangers, because her family has a reputation for incredible combat skills.. and her flatly refusing, Reader even saying in a calm no shits given voice, and with a completely unbothered smile on her face.
âWell most humans are Asswholes anyway, weâve been destroying our own planet for generations.. why is it so bad if the Evil League takes over the Earth?? Theyâd clearly treat the planet better than we have⌠I wonât fight for humanity, itâs shity.â
And then she just casually walks home..
Our lovable Mr. Villain is very interested curious about the Cute strange human woman..
So he goes to the shop she works at the next day to learn more about her.. and sheâs in the middle of making the biggest.. Fluffiest.. CUTEST⌠stuffed Panda teddy-bear.. heâs ever seen⌠in that moment⌠heâs an absolute goner.
Heâs smitten, lovestruck, infatuated.. She looks like an angel to himâŚ. Also, he will make sure nobody but him will buy that huge stuffed Panda.. made by the loving hands of his âsoon to beâ beloved..
[ This is awesome, my first Mr. Villain request featuring the main man himself. Please let me know how I did, I tried to make the story interesting. I used the name "Warumono-san" because that's what I've seen other posts do. Not sure if that's correct or not. Regardless this was about 12 pages in Word, so I hope you enjoy it! As stated in the request this is a FEMALE READER INSERT. ]
You sighed before clenching your jaw and curling your hands into fists, practically feeling the steam seeping from your nostrils. This was getting old, and you were sick of Red Ranger constantly bothering you with his useless nonsense. âAw, come on!â He whined.
âWill you shut up!?â You snapped, baring your teeth like a cornered animal. How could one human being be this damn annoying? How could he not take the thousands of hints youâve given him!? No matter what you said or did to him, he only continued to pester.
Warumono-san smiled and looked at the plastic bag in his hand, the contents of which contained the goods he just purchased from the convenience store. Oh yes, he was eager to try the newest flavor of ice cream recommended to him by the convenience store worker.
It pained him to think that when he finally conquered Earth in the name of his mother planet and annihilated the Earthlings she would, unfortunately, perish. However, until then, he would enjoy her insights and the warmth her smile brought him whenever he walked past those double doors.
However, he stopped short when he heard yelling and turned to see two individuals standing on the opposite side of the street. His eyes widened when he recognized one of them was Red Ranger and his body tensed up. No doubt an embedded reaction because of his complicated past with the Rangers.
A sense of anger filled him, making his stomach twist. If there was one thing he hated, it was those damn Rangers who attempted to stop him at every turn from accomplishing his goal. âYesâŚdamn you Rangers!â He frantically thought, âYou will not stop our efforts to take over Earth!â
He was tempted, oh so tempted, to close his eyes and transform into his supervillain alias. The one with a menacing glare, cold-hearted aura, and dark clothing. âBut tomorrow is the start of my day off,â all at once that tension seemed to melt, and his shoulders relaxed.
As of now, it seemed that neither Red Ranger nor you noticed his presence, and so he remained spectating on the sidewalk. There was a slight concern that his ice cream would melt, but he assumed he had a couple of minutes to spare.
Red Ranger frowned, and the usual happy sparkle in his eyes all but faded. âB-butâŚtchâŚâ pressing his teeth together, he couldnât help but feel the tiniest bit frustrated. He didnât understand! Why wouldnât you consider being part of the Rangers!?
Your family had an honorable and well-respected reputation for protecting others through perfected combat skills passed on from generation to generation. Yes, maybe you didnât have the power the Rangers possessed, and couldnât see the dark aura surrounding the enemy.
But it would be useful to have someone who could teach the Rangers the way of combat. His eyes moistened over causing the faint moonlight to reflect off them and a soft breeze came, ruffling his hair before he stepped forward. âI need to convince them to join us, whatever it takes!â He thought before locking eyes with you.
âWhy wonât you join the Rangers!?â He demanded, pressing a hand to his chest. Warumono-sanâs eyes widened. âHe wishes to recruit more Rangers!?â The present number of Rangers was enough to deal with, how dare he try to recruit more.
âDamn you again Rangers!â His shoulders grew tense and his grip tightened around the plastic strap of the bag he held. âYou and the rest of the Earthlings truly want to die!â A growl rumbled in his throat, and he was prepared to intervene, even at the cost of allowing his precious after-work treats to melt.
Heâd teach that damned Red Ranger and you a lesson. However, he paused when he heard your response, and it was so strange that it caused his lips to part and his mind to be rendered blank. What you said was unlike any response he would expect from an Earthling.
You knew that it may be unconventional and that not many would think or even say such a negative thing about their own species. But it was the truth, and it was a truth you learned the hard way. Through all the pain, suffering, and heartbreak you went through in this so-called, âlife.â
From being forced to do things you did not wish to do, to feeling as if you had to do certain things out of guilt. It wasnât fair! But that was the punchline of the joke. Life was not fair, and it didnât care who it stepped on to get its way, and because of that you and everyone else unlucky enough had to suffer.
Red Ranger knit his eyebrows when he saw a smirk across your face. Placing your hands on your hips, you said, âHumanity is awful,â in a cold tone, âmost of us that inhabit this planet are only killing it, and we canât even show kindness to each other.â
His jaw dropped and his eyes widened, his pupils shaking with disbelief. âH-how can you say that Y/n?!â He demanded, curling his hands into fists. âThe people here aren-â he stopped short when you held up your hand. Your eyes narrowed, and he shivered at the hateful glance now directed at him.
âWhat would be so bad if that Evil League youâre always talking about takes over Earth?â You demanded, taking a step toward him. âW-well, IâŚthatâs-â he tried to come up with a reason, but you continued forward causing him to stumble back.
âTheyâd treat the planet better than we have. Theyâd probably even reverse most of the damage humans have caused!â You snapped, stomping your foot against the ground. âAh!â Red Ranger cried out when you roughly grabbed the collar of his hoodie, forcefully pulling him down to your face.
âSo, for the last fucking time,â you growled, tightening your grip. âI wonât fight for humanity. I wonât fight alongside the Rangers. Not for such a shitty planet,â you could hear him audibly swallow before he made the bold choice to wrap his fingers around your wrist.
âDonât even think about it!â You repositioned your stance, separating your legs, and firmly pressing your feet against the ground. You already had a secure grip on his collar, and while his hand grasping your wrist may be a problem, your skills far outweighed the consequences of whatever he could do.
In one fluid motion, you pivoted and used the momentum to swing him off balance. As expected, he was caught off guard by this and the sensation of his feet lifting off the ground as he was propelled forward and over your shoulder.
Warumono-san watched the spectacle with his jaw dropped, he had never seen an Earthling cause harm to another Earthling using aggressive domination and force. He felt a sense of satisfaction wash over him when Red Ranger hit the ground and let out a painful grunt.
Silence filled the air seconds later before you towered over the man on the ground. âIdiot,â you mumbled walking past him, your steps a little heavier than normal. It was too late to be dealing with such stupidity, you needed to get home and prepare yourself for tomorrow.
After all, you had a business to run, and you couldnât function without a proper nightâs rest. âHeh,â Warumono-san clasped his chin, revealing his pointy teeth in a happy smirk. âI need to know who that Earthling is,â he concluded before his attention shifted back to Red Ranger who grunted again as he sat up.
His face twisted, and his hand rested over his stomach as if he had been punched. âW-waitâŚâ he faintly squeaked out, reaching toward you with his other hand but you only got further and further away. However, because you were such a distance away, his attention was refocused as he suddenly sensed something nearby.
He turned, gasping when he noticed Warumono-san, and immediately panicked. He looked back at you. âNo, I have to warn Y/n before-â he went to get on his feet, ready to sprint down the sidewalk after you but Warumono-san cut him off.
Placing his bag of frozen treats down, a black whirlwind surrounded him as he transformed into his villainous persona. His hair now standing on end, and a menacing shadow cast over his face. A large dark cape now draped over his shoulders, weighed down by two claw-like hands.
The cape ran down his back and concealed part of a large black tail. His chest was exposed, and the strange blue-like markings that colored his waist and part of his pecs were visible. The bottom of his outfit remained the same.
He grinned and was quick to move, leaving behind a strong gust of wind that raffled the few trees embedded into the sidewalk. Their leaves rustled violently in response, and some even fell to the ground in the wake of the sudden shock of what occurred.
He grinned, amused by Red Rangerâs shocked expression. That innocence of wishing to protect another shining in his eyes, and yet regret overtook that hope. âAh!â He cried out when Warumono-sanâs hand grasped his throat and the ground underneath his feet disappeared again.
The twisted smirk on the otherâs face was something he wouldnât soon forget, and he desperately grasped onto the hand wrapped around his throat. Warumono-san realized he could have used the provided tail on his cape to render the Ranger useless.
However, there was something much more satisfying about holding the Ranger up with his bare hand. Being able to control his flow of oxygen and hear him choke as he begged for air sent a delightful tingle through his body. Yet, there was a more pressing matter at hand.
âNow Red RangerâŚâ he grimaced, allowing smoke to seep from his mouth as he pulled the boy closer. âWho was that Earthling?â He demanded, only to receive silence in response. Red Ranger clenched his jaw, opting to glare at Warumono-san instead of answering him.
When he picked up on this hostility, he tightened his hand around the otherâs throat, momentarily cutting off his oxygen supply. Red Rangerâs grip on his wrist grew desperate, and despite feeling those nails digging into his flesh, he smirked yet again.
Yes, he enjoyed seeing his enemy struggling for oxygen. âIt is clear she is not willing to side with you Rangers.â His eyes widened at Warumono-sanâs words, and his jaw clenched, revealing his teeth which remained pressed together.
Was it true? Did you have no interest in protecting the Earth? Did you really want humanity to perish? NoâŚhe refused to believe it. He wanted to know what made you think that way, had you faced such unkindness that it rendered you to decide that Earth was not worth saving?
In his opinion, you werenât a horrible person. You just needed a friend. Someone to make you believe in humanity again, and he wanted to be that person. His eyes focused on Warumono-san, taking in his happy but twisted expression. The man currently choking him wasnât a horrible person either, although most wouldnât believe that.
Yes, Warumono-san and the evil organization he was a part of were the Rangerâs sworn enemies, but he had seen and experienced firsthand how kind the villain could be. And if that were trueâŚthen could he not return that kindness?
Was protecting you the wrong thing to do if Warumono-san wouldnât do harm to you? His eyes burned slightly, filling with tears that reflected the light provided by the streetlamps. When he noticed Red Rangerâs eyes moisten, a sign that he would soon cry, his grip on his throat loosened.
Red Ranger sharply inhaled, coughing slightly before he noticed himself being lowered back to the ground. âHuh?â He looked around, pressing his feet against the sidewalk a few times before looking back at Warumono-san who sighed and transformed into his civil form.
He leered at the Ranger who was now massaging his throat, a few tears slowly dripped down his cheeks as he attempted to regain his steady breathing. âWell,â Warumono-san stated, making the red-haired boy pause and look at him. He tilted his head to the side, exposing his sharp teeth, âWhat is that Earthlingâs name?â
Red Rangerâs hands curled into fists, and once again, he debated telling the other what he knew. The internal struggle was clear on his face given his slanted eyebrows and tense posture and while Warumono-san noticed this, he didnât care about how the Ranger felt.
An angry Earthling meant nothing to him. This, however, didnât stop him from being caught off guard by the next set of words that left the Rangerâs mouth. âI-if I tell youâŚâ he hesitated, and his lip quivered but he needed to say this!
âYou...you have to promise not to hurt her!â He demanded, and part of him grew surprised to see the hint of humanity shine in the villainâs eyes. Silence lingered in the air, apart from the rumbling of distant traffic and the chirping of crickets and other insects.
He grasped his chin. He was uncertain why Red Ranger wished him to promise such a thing. Yes, his goal was to annihilate humanity and yes, he would feel bad for killing off certain people he had come to know. But youâŚwell, you had struck a fancy in him.
Perhaps youâd be the first Earthling heâd spare from such a devastating fate. Pulling the corner of his lip up, he grimaced down at the Ranger. His stomach twisted with unease knowing he was about to bend to the otherâs will, but if it got him the information, he so desired, it was a worthy sacrifice.
âFine,â he replied, lowering his hand with the intent to shake Red Rangerâs. âItâs a deal,â he stated, and while he suspected the Ranger to be hesitant for him to keep his word, that suspicious stare of his didnât lessen the feeling of annoyance.Â
Earthlings were indeed strange, even when you gave them your word, there was still so clearly doubt. This was unlike the people back on his home planet who would keep their word and keep themselves in good standing with others.
While his hand trembled, he managed a steady handshake with Warumono-san. However, he was struck with panic when he felt the pressure of nails against the top of his hand. âNow what is her name?â He demanded, having grown too impatient for Red Rangerâs nonsense.
âMm,â even if he was still uncomfortable with this, he couldnât back down now. âHer name isâŚY/n,â his eyes lit up. âY/n,â he repeated, although he wasnât partial to complimenting or even caring about Earthling names, yours sounded so sweet on his tongue.
Red Ranger nodded. âYes andâŚâ he paused again, wondering if he should say any more. However, he had the otherâs attention, and that grim stare only convinced him to continue speaking. âSheâŚhas a shop near the Uenono Zoo,â he stated, watching the otherâs eyes light up.
He knew that Warumono-san favored the zoo, particularly the panda exhibit which explained why his eyes beamed with happiness at his words. Although he hadnât informed the other that you made and sold stuffed animals, he assumed that would be self-explanatory. âHeh,â Warumono-san smirked, âI see.â
He planned to visit your precious little shop at his earliest convenience. He turned, his eyes settling on his bag of frozen treats that remained on the sidewalk across the street. He couldnât help but frown knowing that they were likely melted as he wasted more time than he had anticipated dealing with Red Ranger.
âThank you for the information,â he stated, walking across the street with his hand held up. âHuh!?â He stiffened and drew his bottom lip into his mouth, watching the villain grab his plastic bag filled with who knows what before walking down the sidewalk.
He continued to watch until Warumono-san disappeared around the corner of a building, more than likely headed home. He let out the breath he was holding but his relaxation was short-lived when he heard two distinct voices behind him.
âWow, heâs lost again, isnât he?â A high-pitched voice said. âStill canât find your way around the block, Red?â He blinked and slowly turned to see Sora and Mugi. As usual they were standing close together, their hands interlocked as they looked at him with unamused expressions.
âSora, Mugi!â He shouted, alarmed that the two were by themselves, and dropped to his knees, placing a hand on each of their shoulders. âWhat happened!? Why are you out here at night!?â He demanded, his eyes wavering with fear.
âWeâre not alone,â Sora replied, her tone somewhat snarky. âYeah, Blue is following us,â Mugi stated, pointing behind him. âHuh?â Red shifted his gaze to see a tall boy with bright blue hair, and equally blue eyes running up to them.
He was wearing an oversized dark-colored hoodie, with jeans and black shoes. As soon as he approached, he leaned over, placing his hands on his knees. His soft pants filled the air before he swallowed thickly and glared at the twins.
âDonât run off like that again!â He scolded before a sigh passed his lips and he pressed his hand against his forehead. âBlack would kill me if anything happened to you guys,â he stated, lowering his hand to resume glaring at the pair who responded with a pout.
Blueâs eyebrow twitched, even if he tried, he would be unable to explain just how irritated Sora and Mugi made him sometimes. He sighed again, trying to push his anger back before grabbing Soraâs hand. âCome on,â he urged, âwe need to get back before Black gets mad.â
The last thing he needed was a lecture about how it was past Sora and Mugiâs bedtime. Red watched the interaction before looking in the direction Warumono-san went. âI hope Y/n will be okay,â even if you continued to reject the idea of being part of the Rangers, he didnât want you to be harmed by anyone.
âYou too, Red!â Blue shouted, snapping the other out of his paranoid thoughts. âHuh!?â He turned his head back, looking at the three ahead of him. âOh, r-right!â He replied, running to catch up to them. Maybe a good nightâs sleep would suit him well and take his mind off you and Warumono-san.
However, that didnât change what he had said before. If anything happened to you at the hands of that villain, heâd make sure he paid the price. âA shop near the zoo, a shop near the zooâŚâ he thought as he walked past the Uenono Zoo.
His desire to see his precious pandas was high, but he had a mission to complete. âYes!â he thought, âPandas must wait! Locating the Earthling, Y/n comes first!â His eyes scanned the area. âA shop near the zoo, a shop near the zooâŚâ he repeated before resuming walking.
Several small shops lined the street near the zoo and made him come to a halt. He tilted his head, grasping his chin in contemplation, and ignored the strange looks he got from passersby. Yet another odd set of behaviors he noticed Earthlings engage in.
What was so fascinating about his appearance that their stares remained fixated on him even as they walked away? Well, it mattered very little. He would not miss those stares when the Earth was overtaken in the name of his mother planet. A sigh passed his lips as he lowered his hand and yet again glanced along the row of shops.
There was only one logical thing to do now. âYes!â He declared, making the Earthlings around him stop and look. âThat is it! I must visit each shop to determine if itâs Y/nâs!â He thought frantically, bending his knees, and raising his hands above his head, ignoring the fact he was indeed a spectacle.
âNow,â he straightened his posture, leering at the spectators who seemed to shudder and quickly walk away. âHehâŚâ he tried not to let his pride distract him as he, once again, looked at the shops. He lightly tapped his lips, âWhich one do I start with?â
He quickly concluded that it didnât matter and walked to the first little shop on the left. His eyes immediately catch the delightful display of fluffy creatures, primarily teddy bears that lined the display window. His hand fisted into the front of his shirt, his heart pounding with excitement at the uniquely crafted plush companions.
âW-what is this!?â He pressed his palms against the smooth glass as he observed each teddy bear. There were varieties of colors and sizes, and each one was placed in a playful pose that beckoned him to take them home. He noticed the craftsmanship of them and the intricate stitching and embroidery that truly brought them to life.
Some were even wearing tiny outfits, with miniature hats and scarves while others had delightful ribbons around their necks. Like a present you would give away on the Earthling holiday, Christmas. He was at a loss for words as he contemplated which ones he wanted to purchase.
However, they were quickly forgotten when he gazed up and his breath hitched. âItâs Y/n!â He grinned, his heart now swelling with pride. âI found her.â He was prepared to walk into your shop when something else caught his eye.
âHm!?â He watched you threading a needle before leaning over to pierce it through something, but not just any old something. âWHAT!?â his jaw dropped, and his eyes widened as he watched you sew two pieces of fabric together.
One was colored white, and the other black. He knit his eyebrows, noticing that the fabric looked incredibly fluffy and almost defied gravity, standing out in all directions like a cloud of softness. Its dark button eyes shimmered in the light of the shop, and its silly freshly stitched together tongue hung out amidst its black-yarned smile.
âP-panda?!â Not just any panda, but the biggest, fluffiest, and cutest stuffed panda teddy bear he had ever seen or imagined. He was in awe as he continued to watch you create the stuffed companion, and his fingers curled against the glass.
You seemed unaware of his presence, and while that would normally work to his advantage, he wanted your attention. He also wanted that panda bear you were creating. He clenched his jaw, feeling a soft ache course through his teeth.
âYesâŚâ he thought, his hands now trembling. âI must make sure nobody gets the panda bear!â He pushed off the display window, stumbling as he ran to the door. He grasped the handle desperately and felt the weight of the door give way and a bell ring as he barged in.
The change in atmosphere was astounding, there was a certain warmth that surrounded him. The soft lighting that cast a gentle glow over the plush companions that lined every corner only added to the already inviting surroundings. The aroma of fabric with the faint undertone of sawdust filled his nostrils.
However, there was another scent that caught his attention. Something like a hint of lavender and cedarwood. âHm?â You turned your head, the needle and thread still securely placed between your thumb and forefinger.
âOhâŚâ your eyes lingered on the strange man who entered your shop, noticing his black shirt, trench coat, and curly mess of hair that hid a portion of his face. Not to mention his long, elf-shaped ears. âWellâŚthatâs some look,â you thought, deciding to shrug it off and greet him.
âHeh,â you forced a smile and tried to muster the sweetest tone, âHi, welcome to my shop!â His heart accelerated at the sound of your voice, and he straightened his posture. The odd feeling of warmth rushing through his cheeks almost made him think something was wrong.
For a moment, he wondered if this was a trap or if he had contracted some strange new Earthling disease. Had the Earthlings made some new weapon that weakened his kind!? Despite his internal dismay, he hummed in response to your words.
No, this reaction couldnât have been caused by any Earthling disease. Rather, he suspected that perhaps unlike the rest of the Earthlings on this miserable planet, he had unintentionally selected you as the sole survivor when the Earth was taken over.
And the reason was thatâŚyou had caught his interest, or uh, curiosity but what would he do now that he was so close to you!? What could he say? Surely you didnât wish to talk about the incident with Red Ranger, although that was the incident that triggered this situation.
Given that you didnât know he had a connection with the Rangers or that he was present when you were interacting with Red Ranger, it would be unwise to mention it. In addition, he did not wish to lose something he had yet to obtain.
His eyes lingered on the stuffed panda you were currently constructing, and his shoulders stiffened. âYesâŚthe panda!â he reached into his trench coat, pulling out his wallet. âI must make sure no Earthling purchases it!â his steps echoed through the empty shop as he approached you.
âThere, at least that section is finished,â you thought, quickly cutting the remaining thread on the needle before noticing the strange man had approached you. âUhâŚâ glancing at him up close, you noticed just how tall he was and the slightly intimidating aura that surrounded him.
Although since you were trained in combat, you had very little to worry about. If he tried anything, heâd get his ass kicked the same way Red Ranger did. However, despite your assumptions about him, he caught you by surprise when he pointed at the panda and asked, âHow much?!â
You were slightly alarmed by the panic in his voice, as if he were afraid that the stuffed panda you were working on was going to disappear out of thin air. In addition, it struck you as odd that a grown man would want such a stuffed companion. Then again, maybe you shouldnât judge.
The man could have a family or knew someone who had children who might appreciate your craft. Of course, you knew your customers well and realized you hadnât seen this man before. âUhâŚwhatâs your name?â you asked, turning briefly to stick the needle you held back into the pin cushion next to the stuffed panda.
âHuh?â Warumono-san frowned. âWhat is this? Is she attempting to distract me away from the panda?â He irrationally thought, gazing at the inanimate object before looking back at you. His eyes carefully scan you from head to toe, noting that your posture gave away your attitude.
Your hands were on your hips, and that ever-so-interesting hint of a pout on your lips, yet your furrowed brows indicated your annoyance. However, this only reminded him of what an intriguing Earthling you were, and a certain feeling overwhelmed him as he continued to stare at you.
Like a flutter of a hummingbirdâs wings, his heart, noâŚhis whole body felt light. âHeh,â he smiled. âYesâŚwell played Y/nâŚtrying to distract me away from the panda!â He thought, resisting the urge to frantically move his body as he normally would when consumed by his thoughts.
âVery well, I shall play your game! But know this, the panda is mine!â He swallowed, his grip tightening around his wallet. âWarumono-san,â he replied, his tone deep and authoritative. Given his position as General of an evil organization that set out to destroy Earth, he was used to speaking with certain tones.
Said tones were normally reserved for putting others in their place. Not that he was ruthless or unjust, no. But he wasnât foolish enough to dismiss the idea that he deserved a certain level of respect, and even in cases where he did not receive such respect, from Trigger for example, he remained calm and collected.
Respect was earned yes, but you could not expect everyone to respect you. Yet, this ideology was quite amusing considering he found himself respecting you more than any other Earthling simply because of the way you treated Red Ranger and your opinion of the Earthlings. You blinked, tilting your head to the side.
Your hands moved from your hips and rested against your inner elbows when you crossed your arms. âWarumono-san?â You repeated, finding his name or what he liked to be addressed by rather strange. But this world was full of strange, stupid people. So, you shrugged, deciding to go along with the charade.
âOkay?â you replied, taking a breath. âMy name is Y/n, I own this shop,â there was a certain bittersweet tone to your voice that made him concerned. Yet, something else took precedence at that moment. âHow much for the panda?â He asked again, pointing to it, and noting your eyebrows furrowing again.
âThisâŚâ you sighed only being reminded that his behavior was odd. But he hadnât done anything harmful, and he didnât smell of booze, so it was safe to assume he wasnât intoxicated. âThis isnât for sale yet an-â you stumbled back when he shoved a handful of yen into your face.
âI must make sure nobody else gets the panda!â His jaw clenched as he intensely stared at you. His eyes held an almost predatory glance. âI will not tolerate any other Earthling purchasing what was made by this Earthling!â And when he spared your life, you could make more stuffed animals.
A stuffed animal for each of his comrades on his mother planet, oh yes! Your body stiffened, and you resisted the urge to grab his wrist and flip him over your shoulder and onto the floor. Pressing your fingertips together, you took a deep breath and felt your stomach sink and your body heat up with the slightest bit of anger.
Like a small match, ready to cause destruction if used correctly. Yet, you tried to remind yourself of the purpose of this shop. The stuffed animals that lined the walls and shelves were the legacy of what your grandparents left behind, as they believed you deserved an easier life than the one your parents tried to force you to have.
âRightâŚâ you let out the breath you were holding and returned your gaze to the man who still held out a handful of money. âThey wouldnât have approved of me denying this man...â your eyes lingered on his stone-cold face, âAs strange as he is.â Another sigh passed your lips.
âFine,â you replied, taking the money from him, and quickly counting it. You glanced at the panda, knowing you could always make another one. It would be easy, like clockwork considering youâve done it your whole life. âI guess this will do,â you said, folding the cash in half before tucking it into your pocket.
âBut this particular panda isnât going to be done for a couple of days,â you informed, casting a soft glare his way. But his reaction was not what you expected, it was almost like he hadnât heard you. He remained standing there, with the strangest smile on his face.
Although you couldnât see his eyes because his hair obstructed them, you could feel his stare and it was beginning to make you feel a little self-conscious. âUmâŚâ you crossed your arms. âHello?â You said, unaware that Warumono-san was simply beaming with happiness.
Not only did you agree to give him the precious panda but knowing that it was made by you made his heart even lighter. He had not felt this way since he was a young one before the crushing weight of the workforce pulled him down.
As he continued to stare at you, he noticed something about you, and it made him grasp his chin in thought. Some form of radiance surrounded you, like a golden hue. Was there not an Earthly term for that? âOh yes,â it suddenly came to him, he had read about them in one of the religious books certain Earthlings seemed to abide by.
You looked like what they depicted as an angel. Unfortunately, your angelic reign on Earth would soon be over. Yes, he had promised not to harm you, but nothing was said about capturing you. âThank you,â he said and watched with some amusement as your eyebrows raised as if you hadnât expected him to speak.
âYeah well,â you huffed and glanced away from him. âI make and sell these things,â you said, motioning to the in-progress stuffed panda. âSo, I guess itâs not a big deal if someone wants one before itâs finished being made,â you concluded.
âHm?â Warumono-san sensed a heavy tension filling the air, and the frown on your face indicated you werenât exactly the happiest now. But he remained quiet, allowing you to speak as you wished. Your throat tightened, forming a lump that made you swallow heavily.
âYou know, I never really envisioned myself doing this,â you confessed, although you werenât sure why you were revealing this to a stranger. Maybe it was because he wouldnât judge you, not that you would care if he did. Maybe it was because you hoped you wouldnât see him again after this.
Maybe still, there was something about him that made you feel like you could be truthful or vent a little. Beating up Red Ranger only helped so-so. âIt just started off as one of my grandparentâs hobbies, and then it turned into this,â you explained, waving your hand through the air.
âSpent most of my childhood helping them with the shop, and learning how to make stuffed animals even if my parents didnât approve,â you chuckled slightly. âAll they cared about was fighting and training in the name of the family reputation.â
Yes, you were grateful that you had learned how to defend yourself, but they pushed you beyond your limits. They acted as though fighting and training were the only qualities that equaled someone being worthy. Because of that, they forced you into that lifestyle or at least it felt like they did.
It was like you never had a choice, and there was constant tension between them and your grandparents over what was best for you. The only time you seemed to get peace away from your parents, and the weight of responsibility lifted from your shoulders was when you were with your grandparents.
They showed you that there was something else you could do with your life and that you had the right to choose what you wanted to do. Of course, this was before you had learned that they left their business to you. Sometimes you think you made the choice to keep their shop alive because you felt like you owed them.
Still, it was the first choice that you had made in your otherwise suffocating life, and because of it, you were disowned by your family which only added salt to the wound. Yes...life was not fair, and the unlucky suffered because of those who thought it right to step all over others.
âHumanity is awful,â you thought before looking at Warumono-san. âBut...at least I can show kindness when I wish to.â Your chuckle didnât fool him. It was evident there was a bittersweet sadness you were attempting to cover. âI...â he noticed your hesitance and the subtle pain that shined in your eyes.
âWhen they died, they passed the shop onto me. Guess Iâm just trying my best to keep it alive for their sake,â you concluded with a shrug. âMmâŚâ perhaps this was another reason why he felt soâŚinfatuated by you. That strong front you put up, that wall that separated your true feelings was much like his.
Yes, everyone looked up to and feared him, but was he truly as evil as everyone depicted? The answer was quite obvious. Yet, there was a tenderness underneath that front that longed to be set free but could only do so seldom. Yes, perhaps you two were more alike than he realized.
He glanced at you, the sadness that enveloped your features was something he detested, perhaps even more than the Rangers. âSo, the business was passed down to Y/n. Earthlings are known for performing such acts for their offspring or relatives,â although he didnât have a solid opinion on how he felt about such things.
There was still so much to learn and comprehend when it came to Earthlings, but this didnât change the knowledge that once something important was handed to you, it was your job to protect and let it prosper. Things he was going to do with you, very soon.
âI see,â he replied after a moment, daring to step closer to you. âWe have similar exchanges on my mother planet,â he confessed before realizing his words. You knit your eyebrows. âWhat?â You replied, and he shook his head, deciding to choose the strategy of silence.
Although he wanted to reply and make some phony explanation as to why he said what he did, he found himself unable to think rationally. The pounding of his heart echoed in his ears and his simmering hot cheeks only added to this inability.
Yet, one question screamed out in the back of his mind. How could he reveal such confidential information without a second thought!? âUhâŚâ you blinked, noticing the way he was positioned. He was hunched over, his knees bent and practically pressed against his chest.
His hands were tangled in his messy crop of hair, and his lips were pulled up, revealing his unusual pointy teeth. âIs he having some internal crisis?â You wondered, but just as you stepped forward, he snapped out of his daze, and you saw the faintest hint of his golden orbs peering at you from behind those chocolate-colored strands.
Your eyes widened at the sight of them. Yes, you had seen some unusual things in your time, and the stories Red Ranger told you were extremely difficult to believe, let alone picture. Somehow, Warumono-sanâs eyes had you frozen. But not with fear, rather something else. SomethingâŚunearthly.
âWait a minute...â it slowly dawned on you. âIs this...one of the members of the evil organization?â A small hint of panic consumed you, but you tried to keep your thoughts straight. That was...ridiculous. If this man was part of that organization, shouldnât he have done something horrible to you by now?
He stood up, his posture now stiff and his hands loosely curled by his sides. He looked at you, his lips pressed out in a thin line. He could feel the tightness growing in his throat and made the choice to play ignorant, although this was his least favored tactic.
âThank you very much,â he stated, bowing slightly before he turned to the door and the ends of his tailcoat drifted through the air as he walked away. He wrapped his hand around the metal bar across the door, and once again the bell gave a soft ring, signaling his departure.
However, he paused and looked at you from over his shoulder. His gaze lingers and makes you feel that same strange sensation as if he was from another planet. âLittle plushie maker,â he purred, finding some amusement at your wide-eyed expression before walking out of the shop.
He planned to return in a few days to bring the desired plushie panda bear and possibly you home. Once again, his heart fluttered at the thought, and he smiled as he slipped his hands into his pockets, heading back toward the Uenono Zoo.
His steps echoed against the paved grooves that made up the street, and as he looked up at the sky he thought, âI must privately report this.â His eyes focused on a cloud passing by, âThe day I decided to take an Earthling as my soon to beâŚbeloved.â

Season 5 worries me.
So recently, Tot explained to a Twitch streamer that the fifth season of Wakfu, a season that we desperately wanted ever since we learned it was coming, wouldn't turn out like we planned.
But first, if you understand French and want to see the snippet in question, then press here. (thanks @geographer746, for sharing the clip)
Here's what Tot said:
A need, for the record, is to tell the love story between two(?) monsters. That will be the main storyline for this season. They won't be our heroes, I should note, but I want to present some strong enough powerful characters who are not really beautiful, and try to make the people cry to a story where the characters do not look like them. I really went for some challenges a bit political and all but incredibly very human.
Apparently, and brace yourself for this, season 5 will explore the love story of two ugly monsters and the many challenges they will face. Tot specified that they won't be the heroes and won't look like we can relate to them, but feeling sympathy or even understanding may happen.
This summary alone doesn't bother me in the least because Tot did say that they wouldn't be the heroes of the finale. However, it made me question many things about what this season can hold.
But it also says a lot because we all expected something else entirely. We thought that season 5 would immediately continue with what happened after season 4, so it could be used as a good filler between season 4 and the Great Wave to explain some things that haven't been addressed or presented in the Great Wave yet.
Things like:
how the Sadida Kingdom reacted when they learned they had to share their lands with the eliatropes;
what happened after the wedding between Yugo and Amalia;
how did Yugo get used to his older body, and if he had any trouble controlling it after the adrenaline he just had from the Necrome war;
if Yugo communicates with his eliotrope children like the rest of Oropo's group besides Bouillon;
maybe we could see the unnamed male sadida and unnamed female eliatrope's relationship growing (the ones that got married in the Great Wave. I've explained it here);
or even just Yugo contemplating all the shit that he went through in such a short time.
Because Tot finally has the time to explore all those ideas now that he's been allowed to make 26 episodes. TWENTY. SIX. Do you remember when was the last time we had 26 episodes in a season?? BACK IN 2011.
Again, the problem with this future season isn't that we'll see these new characters being ugly monsters that we've never seen in Wakfu before. Because every season always welcomes new characters, it should be logical to think we'll see some new ones in this future season. The REAL problem is that I'm scared that that's all we'll see in this finale.
Granted, the clip where Tot summarizes the season was only a snippet, which means we've only scratched the surface of what this season has to offer.
But the thought still worries me nonetheless.
Wakfu, for many fans, has been here since their childhoods, and for people like me, it has been here for almost two decades now. Which is why I'm extremely worried that the finale of Wakfu will only be about new characters that have nothing to do with the Brotherhood we have come to know and love for many years.
The idea of ending it with two random people just doesn't sit right with me.
It's like saying you want to end a full nostalgic adventure with two ugly gobbowls falling in love đđ
What's worse in all of this is that we should have expected this coming. A few months ago, Tot released a tweet about a new character he would involve in the future, which was this dragon-looking warrior.
Here is the tweet in question đ
The translation of the post is as follows:
Hello everyone, I'm in the middle of my writing period and as usual, I'm procrastinating between two lines (of text)... And one of the subjects of this procrastination is X, the most x social network on the internet. Even if it means spending time here, we might as well tell you some nice things rather than talking about the current shit. Right now, I'm seriously working on 3 projects that I can't wait to tell you about.
-Welsh & Shedar
- Wakfu Season 5
- Wakfu the great wave
I'm in the tough, in solitary mode, and these are really the best and worst times for me. As a wait, I present to you a future hero / protagonist of Krosmoz. I showed you a WIP sketch a few months ago, and the baby was done by the talented Vincent Nghiem. Enjoy.
At the time, we all thought this was going to be some minor character that was going to have a role in the fifth season, but knowing what we know now from the snippet, I'm guessing that this dragonic adventurer is probably one of the lovers Tot had mentioned (or maybe not since Tot tweeted that this character is a hero which was not what he said about the lovers. But then again, he could have changed that statement later on). THIS IS JUST A MERE SPECULATION AFTER ALL SO TAKE IT WITH A GRAINE OF SALT.
In addition, I recently saw a screenshot of Malec, one of Wakfu's directors, showing us the beginning of the fifth season's script. (thanks to @viridisgratia for providing the pic here) Below the first episode's title (which was hidden by a spoiler warning), it said version one.
This could mean two things:
either Tot is playing with some ideas and isn't really sure how to start the season or trying to find a way to improve the storyline;
he's just trying to figure out how he wants to start the show with the two monsters in mind.
Personally, I prefer the former.
I think he may be trying to discover things he wants to do when trying to test out what he likes and doesn't like. The story with the two monsters isn't going to be a story that he will eventually want, and maybe he will just ditch it because the character sheet that we saw in his tweet is just a character sheet at the end of the day. It doesn't mean it would be a fully canonized character. Maybe he's just playing with characters and seeing what fits and doesn't fit, but who knows? Perhaps I'm just being very optimistic or just very delusional, we'll see.

The real problem with Rhaenyra having three obvious bastards.
As I said before, if you have a problem with what I wrote, ignore this post or dispute my words on your own blog, just don't mention me or comment on my post. You won't change my mind, especially if you choose to approach expressing your disagreement with my post in ridiculing me. I'm not expecting you to agree(as we all are individuals, so naturally our opinions vary), just saying if your comment is in any way aggressive then you will be blocked and your comment deleted. So don't bother. And sorry for any grammar mistakes, english is not my first language.
As a person who believes in the inheritance in the Firstborn SON'S claim, therefore supporting Team Green(and no, my views for the ASOIAF universe, A FICTIONAL WORLD, do not correleate with my modern real life views and no I don't agree with Team Green's representatives every action), I don't actually care that Rhaenyra had bastards. That's not my issue. King's have bastards all the time(even tho I belive as King's it's still frowned upon). But the thing is, there is a big difference. Let me explain:
To put it simply, as misogynistic as it is, Rhaenyra is a woman. The difference between a man and a woman is that during their time(Medieval times) and their universe, DNA tests do not exist. You cannot prove wether a man has a bastard or not, if he doesn't personally claim it as his(even if it's likely, like with King Aegon II). He is not the one carrying the child so even if the child comes out looking like him, no one can prove the child is his. But a woman CAN get pregnant, and when the child comes out not looking like her OR her husband, it can and(in their universe) will be assumed that said child is a bastard.
And I do believe that even in the books Rhaenyra's first three sons are bastard, because I belive in the ASOIAF universe, genetics work differently and that you can actually only look like either one of your parents. But that's just my opinion and I don't think it's actually been confirmed by George.
Now, she did not go about this smartly and since im the show, the accusation of her having bastards(SOMETHING THAT WAS ASSUMED BY MANY IN THE BOOKS AND NOT JUST ONE PERSON), was made canon, then let's go by that logic. The main issue, is that she knew her sons were bastards...yet she tried passing them off as legitimate and even let them inherit. That's considered High Treason that not even King's, that had at least mediocre intelligence, did.(unless the child was legitimized, tho even that caused crisis)
"What would you have her do! She had no choice! Laenor was gay and just couldn't do it!"
There are two different ways to have gone about this:
First way:
She had three. THREE. Even if in the books they were legitimate, had she(and with that also Laenor) been smart and seen the risk of her first son with Laenor not looking like either of them, therefore being accused of bastardy, that should've been her sign to not further procreate with Laenor. They already had a son, having only one would have been easier to argue. But three sons that look like neither of them? A bit suspicious in their time and world.
Second way:
If in the books they were illegitimate, and she did have an affair with Harwin, meaning she held little regard for her marriage with Laenor, she could've hired someone(a lowborn to easily dispose of)with similar features to Laenor to impregnate her while keeping her affair with Harwin. She is a royal and she obviously holds little, if any, regard to those below her. She should have had no problem disposing of said man she sleeps with considering her actions in the books AND in the show. That was the smartest and safest way to go about it. Also, if her first bastard came out looking like Harwin, then she should've also just stopped at the first one. As said before, arguing one bastard's legitimacy is easier than three.
Main conclusion, she was dumb and set her sons up for failure. So that's that. There were ways to have gone about this. She just needed the correct strategy for it.
And the main problem was trying to dit a bastard on the throne after her. That's the biggest issue.

BSD CHAPTER 119
There are many- mANY Things to discuss, cry, despair, and glee about. T.T. â¨â¨â¨â¨ But I will mention this one thing now.
Have you considered we've never seen Fyodor wear an expression like this before?
THE A N G E R IN HIS EYES...!!! It feels genuine and then again it's so damn hard to tell with a character like Fyodor.
But no matter what, it hit damn harder than I expected..... Makes me wonder even more what's behind this whole thing about Atsushi being a "bookmark" ?
And just how important it must be for Fyodor. But.. in what wayďź
One of my first thoughts of it, was it being a reference to a main character. Think about it, wherever the bookmark is placed, that is where the "present" is. For the reader that is. That is us. And the main character will usually always be where the bookmark is, where the story goes on.
Not that that's it but it's a great comparison in my mind.
Moving on.. Fyodor may have started out by saying:
âYou are... Its "BOOKMARK"â
But later he calls Atsushi âHe who HOUSES the "BOOKMARK"â, not THE Bookmark:
And then he even says afterward that the "Bookmark" DWELLS WITHIN Atsushi, basically just saying it twice in two different ways, and therefore making it even more clear that Atsushi isn't directly the bookmark himself:
He specifically refers to the TIGER, the Abhorrent, Noble, Glistening Tiger to quote him correctly. Which dwells within Atsushi. Obviously referring to his skill. So assuming it's the skill, it isn't weird either he would just say that Atsushi IS the"BOOKMARK".
Atsushi himself said in Dead Apple, when he finally accepted his skill, that his skill IS him, it is not something someone can take away from him. He said something along the lines of:
"That's not a skill! That's me..!"
(( Yes, yes, I know it was literally taken out in Dead Apple without him dying. even if it only was for a short while, but so can some of your organs, and no one would argue your organs aren't.. YOU. Just because they can be cut out without you dying. It's a quite great example actually. Even if you can live without some organs, there could be after-effects depending on what organ we're discussing, maybe there's something you wouldn't be able to do? Just like if you lost your skill.
So even if it's T H E S K I L L, which is this so-called "bookmark" Atsushi is also special. Because the skill is him.
Not to forget, all this relates to the fact that his claws can cut through any ability, which Fyodor directly mentions in this chapter, concerning Atsushi being the "bookmark".
And in fact, Fyodor kinda mentions the thing about Atsushi AND the Tiger being special. Directly saying to Atsushi:
âYou... and the Tiger are Special.â
Here's a chronological order of all the times Fyodor refers to Atsushi as the "Bookmark".
How he first said, "You and the Tiger", then just "You are..." And then the rest is straight up just him confirming that it is something within Atsushi, and how he only has an interest in that, and none in Atsushi himself:
Even though Atsushi and the Tiger come in a set, Fyodor only wants the Tiger.
The thing bothering me is this last panel. Even if it isn't Atsushi he needs, but the Tiger, wouldn't that also disappear if Atsushi died??
What in the multiverse do you mean you only need his head, Fyodor!!!?
Could it be the skill survives even when the skill user dies? Like the example with the organs, except it also works the other way around with skills?
Might depend on the skill I imagine.. Like the example with Tatsuhiko Shibusawa ? His skill survived even after he died. But then again, his skill specifically made it possible to split skills from skill users.
But even back then, there was something going on with Fyodor.. The whole thing about his skill being the only one not attacking him.
.. Now when I think about it, Fyodor would indeed know all about that, wouldn't he?
Hmmmmmâ

buy me coffee ?
so long i've been here, so long are the stories i've written. of what i gathered and lost, loneliness becomes me and pain refuse to depart from me. i've embraced that which ate me away so when you came along, i had no part of me left to give.
Never in a million years would you have imagined to be in this spot. Seeing your boss, the same guy who not four weeks ago had blatantly told you to keep your personal and professional apart just because you were texting your grand uncle about his stiff joints, in your house with takeout. Well, your grand uncle's house, but still, it was your quarters and he was acting so casual with you. This was not the only casual thing, as he showed up in a big, fluffy hoodie and dark sweatpants, completely taking you off guard. It wasn't like you were expecting him to be wearing suits or business-casual outfits so late, it was just that you had never seen him so comfortable.
"I hope you don't mind Chinese food. I've been craving it, especially noodles for some reason," Jongho said as he slowly pulled containers of food out of the plastic bag. The smell was mouth-watering but it didn't deter you enough to skip over the main issue. "How long have you been craving Chinese food, Jongho? 200 years?" your eyes dart along the five side dish containers on top of the two noodle containers before you.
Sheepishly, Jongho chuckled as he scratched the back of his head, "Well, I didn't know what you like so..." "You got a whole page of the menu?" you finished for him, still looking incredulous. Jongho simply shrugged, "If we don't finish this, we can split the remaining food and keep them as leftovers. Easy." Though he made a point, you still couldn't believe that he had bought so much on his first time stepping into your house. "Even the leftovers would be too much," you grumbled despite looking over the food and thinking about which one to pick first. "If you can't finish this, you can always share with your uncle," Jongho suggested as he dropped himself on the other end of the couch with his noodles, his feet tucked under his thighs as he sat cris-crossed. You settled into a mirroring position, also with your own noodles before you pressed play on your paused movie, Captain America: The First Avenger. "First of all, it's grand uncle, and no I can't share with him because he's old and the doctor is limiting his sodium intake severely so I'm just gonna put this in my fridge," you explained.
Although you lived with your grand uncle, he was nice enough to realize that once you became an adult, you wanted your own space and due to his mobility issue, he decided to give the whole second floor to yourself while he stayed on the first floor. He had assured that you had your own little apartment on the second floor what with your own bedroom, your own kitchen, your own living room and your own bathroom. He had allowed you to transform his entire second floor and all he asked of you was to just not bother him because he needed his rest. So you usually see him maybe four times a week because your schedules tend to make you very occupied outside, but with the help of the caretaker, you were able to be sure that he was doing just fine. When he wasn't cranky.
"I think I saw him earlier while we were going up. It sucks he can't eat this but that just means there's more for you," Jongho said between bites, "Let me tell you, once MSG was introduced, it was just like what happened with cannabis." The way he said the word cocaine so casually made you almost choke your food, but you managed to only cough twice before swallowing and talking, "What the hell do you mean cannabis??" you asked, both scandalized and surprised. "Well," Jongho paused to swallow a mouthful of tangsuyuk he had dipped in sauce, "We used to cook with cannabis leaves because back then we didn't know it was narcotics because there weren't any classifications back then, we just considered it edible weed so we make dishes out of them and where I'm from, cannabis leaves were everywhere." You were still amazed at the newfound revelation when Jongho suddenly chuckled to himself, grinning fondly, "I remember when I was... twelve or something, my younger brother and I just came back from school, we were hungry and he was particularly emotional because he had gotten in trouble from fighting with some kid. We got back home and our mom made these amazing steamed cabbage rolls with ground beef and what I later found out was cannabis leaves. It was one of the fondest memories I had of home. Just being a kid, trying to be a policeman. I usually make that dish from time to time out of homesickness but then it all stopped after 1976 because cannabis was made illegal so I haven't had it in quite some time."
There was an aura shrouding Jongho, something that felt more like nostalgia and longing with a hint of hurt. But you didn't dare to point that out as you were afraid of poking him on a sore spot. So you decided to go another direction, "So is that what you want, cheech? You want to smoke some MJ?" you teased. Jongho immediately turned to look at you with an exasperated look before sighing, "Of course not, I'm being sentimental here! Besides, the drug use now was nothing compared to how it was back then. There were no prohibition or anything so it was somewhat fine as long as it was controlled, but when I first got my police training, I did see some cases of people tripping in restaurants or getting into fights due to hallucinations in the street, they were a handful," he snickered, remembering a particular memory of a guy who was tripping and he was thinking that a witch poisoned his tea when in fact his wife had spiked it to get him to confess to adultery.
"Do you miss your life before? Your... original life, I mean," you couldn't help but ask after seeing Jongho being so... Enthused from talking about his life. Jongho paused mid-bite, surprised that you would ask that. To be honest, Jongho never thought about that particular question before. Sure, he thought about his past life rather often but it was never about if he missed his old life or not. He reminisced because he had been through a lot for quite some time, but he wasn't sure if he particularly missed it.
"Well... I miss my mom... And my dad... And my little brother... I don't miss the way people usually die after forty or fifty or from the common cold and I don't miss the way we have to walk for two weeks to get to a whole different city because we had to walk everywhere," Jongho stated, giving you a bit of an understanding. Then you pursed your lips, "I've never asked you this... But what did your parents do? How was your little brother like?" "My parents had an apothecary. My dad had connection to China where he import special herbs and medicine so he was able to get under the king's radar and so it simplified my application to the police academy. My little brother, that little copycat, seeing me working decided that he wanted to become a policeman too. He thought, and I quote, 'if you out of all stubborn people could do it, I can do it better,' which is absolutely infuriating," he chuckled.
As his chuckle died, you saw his face relax and his smile faltered as his gaze dropped to the coffee table in front of you, "I never got to see him graduating from the academy. Last I heard, he was given a prestigious honour and my parents were so proud that they held a celebration for him. The same way they did when I also graduated and got a recognition honour from the palace itself," he said, this time with a tone that conveyed his sadness.
Truly, at that moment all you wanted was to reach over and pull him into your arms, comforting him. But you knew you couldn't, you knew you shouldn't because you weren't sure how he was going to react. So instead, you straightened up and scooted closer to him to the point that your knees were touching. Realizing your attempt to comfort him, Jongho cracked a grin and shook his head in slight embarrassment, "Sorry, didn't mean to make the mood sour. I just... I never got to talk about this to anyone who might understand, you know?" You furrowed your eyebrows slightly, "Don't you talk to your friends about this?" to which he scoffed, "The fabled creatures? Sure. They don't grow up, they were created to be that way. Even the guardians, were once human but upon their tragic and unfair death, they were given the choice to become guardians and when they agreed their memories and feelings over their mortal lives were wiped out. Sure, Seonghwa hyung allows them to read their Book, but since their feelings were wiped, they don't really feel attachment. So when I talk about my past life, when I talk about how I miss certain things, they're all up on me talking about how I should be glad that I get to feel the modern age, they try to push me to focus on the silver lining which is more beneficial, yes, but-" "Sometimes you need to weep and wallow," you finished, surprising Jongho.
Now, there was a sad smile on your face as you nodded in understanding. "I know, I get it," you simply said, reaching forward to pat him on the knee. You wanted to tell him how sometimes you also just hole yourself up in your room and cry about your parents. You tried talking to Mingi about this but he couldn't understand, he kept telling you about how knowing your parents wasn't always a good thing since he barely knew his dad. So you tried talking to Liz and Wonyoung but of course, coming from a functional family, they can't understand your need to cry yourself out sometimes and instead, they kept telling you to be happy. Taehyun and Hyunjin... Well, they were simply out of the question. But This, knowing that someone you least expected was sharing your perspective, was surprising but also comforting. You couldn't help but see Jongho in a different light and no, it wasn't just because your lightbulb gave Jongho this soft, almost boyish glow with his glimmering eyes filled with contentment and cheeks a rosy hue from baring his feelings.
As to not turn the moment depressing, you cleared your throat and nodded towards the TV. "Not gonna lie, it's kind of intriguing that both you and I can open a grief support group with Captain America there," you pointed out. Jongho raised an eyebrow, unsure as to what you meant, "The guy in spandex holding a trash lid? How so?" You gasped loudly and smacked your thigh, "Trash lid?? That's his shield! That thing is made out of vibranium and he's just so super strong- Okay, no, we need to get to the bottom of this, oh my God, I will not shut up until you completely understand," you positioned yourself so you were sitting facing Jongho as he groaned and dropped his head back, "Do I want to know what a vibranium is?" "Yes, of course!" you exclaimed excitedly while Jongho pretended to sob.
You two ended up watching The Avengers after that while you gave your commentary and explained things so Jongho would understand. Jongho, despite not really wanting to know, found himself rather intrigued with the band of superheroes and even asking questions, engaging actively whilst paying attention, even commenting how Hawkeye should've been dead at least 20 times because a real arrow and a real archer would not have been able to do a repeat shooting and in exchange, he explained how archery works to you.
It was a dramatic shift in conversation but that night, you two got to know each other and after a long time, Jongho finally let a new person into his life, genuinely in and not just because he had something he needed. And he couldn't be more glad to have his stoic stance proven wrong by you out of all people.
